    Does a seek-time from one RAM location to the end of the 256GB (or larger drive) as fast as the avg seek time of a 15K drive? And please stop calling them disks! Disks are cicular objects.

Hate to break it to you, NO ONE's opinion counts anymore, you are grossly mitaken if you believe it does. . I am not entitled to complain. So what? Even if I vote AND complain, nothing will get done. If you think voting for a particular candidate will change the laws of the land, you are grossly mistaken as well. The country is run by corporations, haven't you figured that out yet?

    The only problem with that is that those rovers must be built differently for different planets, because of atmospheric variations. This is very costly. It really is all about money (or the lack of it). The technology exists.

    ... don't choose operating systems, they choose applications. The de-facto standard office application is MS Office. Until office applications become web-based or Java-based, nothing will change as far as users using Windows. Notice that users downgraded from Vista XP and didn't choose Linux.

    If you live in Los Angeles or San Diego, you'd understand. I am a very liberal person, but I do welcome border patrol officers searching and arresting gang members that are illegal in this country. Border patrol officers identify gang members, just as I or anyone else can that lives in the LA or SD area. Local Police enforcement are arresting 'legal' gang members. Gang members are a big problem in this country, unless you live in Minnesota or Montana.

    Backups are not the same as RAID. RAID simply protects against disk failures, a backup tape protects against failures AND restores data that has been deleted. RAID cannot restore deleted data.

    It's just as reliable as the computers, network, memory and hard drives you used to keep your bank records and run the stock market. I don't see anyone complain about those....

    Murder is a completely different crime and has no socio-economic connection, muderers can be rich, middle class or poor, murder is driven by passion, revenge, insanity and sometimes theft. On the other hand, theft 99% of the time is linked to a socio-economic class, the poor. Most TSA screners are low middle-class or just plain poor, they see all this expensive equipment that they are authorized to confiscate and can't help themselves, you don't see them sell a bottle of acne medicine on Ebay do you? When they see this poster, they will be reminded that being poor is better than being in jail, just my opinion.

    I think this guy will get a stiff sentence, maybe not 10 years but I bet 5+. This enough should deter other TSA employees from stealing. They should put posters of this criminal at all airports to deter TSA employees.

  18. did it take a researcher to discover this. Of course liberals are more open minded and love travel, ethnic foods and are bit messy. That's because their behaviour and thinking multitask, it doesn't mean they are dis-organized, it just means they have a lot to think about and not enough time to organize themselves, that's why they hire a conservative to that for them.

    Regardless of where you moving data centers (cold or warm locations), you still need a temperature controlled environment, in cold weather, you need to warm up the colocation. what Google wants is not to have to control it as much :)
