"...We also demand that you provide us with information concerning the extent of your uses of any elements of the SCRABBLE game..."
another words, let's have a look at what you've done so we can use it with our own online version of scrabble...
I guess you have got be careful where your weekend hacking goes, or you could be saving someone bigger than you a developer's salary.
It does not matter if you have 4 years college. Another kid with 6 months on-job experience will likely own you when it comes to solutions. Map is not the territory.
If you have a shitty job which you don't like, but pays something and teaches you well keep it. My only advice would be to get involved in open source projects or volunteering. A lot of projects where money is low-to-none pay off in exposure and can allow you to make key decisions. I think putting up with shit is worth it as long as your goal is growth.

What is wrong with KDE and GNOME interfaces? The fact that the console was never actually all that user friendly. I am not a Linux expert, just a mid-range user, and I notice debian packages for "dialog" etc. Why is it that more console tools do not use that mechanism to communicate with us?
I am personally growing convinced that issues that were not addressed in the console are also dismissed in the GUIs or at least they add to the habit of confision.
+ I love my crappy P200 with 640x480 and I love my Debian so this is nice.
I have to say that the reasons given in this interview (unless I missed some of this article elswere) are none. If a blog is an interference to your creative process, it is likely that you have not grasped the idea of the blog. One cannot expect to read every blog nor one should expect that it will replace the good old faithful notebook, which I personally believe is also the best form of encryption.
What blog can do is actually to distill the elements that otherwise are getting lost in the thousands of writen pages. Nothing like a database to poke through. I personally have dozens of notebooks that seem to be eating sometimes important references alive. Sure it is a part of the creative process that we lose and forget data and only the important things come together in the end as the final product.
Blog is just a tool. It is blunt and boring and should be treated with a cool head. If you feel your blog is not working for you it is likely because it is public.
There is a slight chance that some tariffs might be imposed but I doubt it. The computer industry is much to powerful at the moment to allow such a swing, it would mean that the major idea behind the free trade is being neglected. Dream on.
Exactly. For that money I can get a brand new Yamaha scooter with a better range and usability. Sure eats oil but it is significantly less than any SUV, and let's not forget production of electricity also causes pollution as many cities still rely on oil power, but don't admit to it. IMHO, the inventor uttered 'hoppla' before making the jump.
A few months ago I promised myself to do it and run linux no matter what. I d/l'ed redhat and got Linux Complete book (ISBN 0-7821-4036-X). It is cheap since it's a paperback that is a collection of chapter from well knows publications by SAMs etc. Ofcourse on some topics I had to do some digging elsewhere.
Where it comes to global diseases like cnacer or aids I do not see a single valid reason why any patents should be pending.
I would like to treat this a wake up call to our moraliy and state of being, why should one profit from having a cure for a disease which is mostly genetically induced? Just as much why should women pay for pads? We continue to exercise tribal attitudes towards them in all advertising and life style, thus the tribe should be paying for woman-asset's needs!
I can see in a conspiracy theory, companies releasing viruses to cash in on the cure, can't you? When are we gonna stop pretending that everything runs smoothly?
except that your progress record will be lost during next application patch...
Good job reviewing the links monkey boy.
