1.) Those using a computer and not a web browser are doing some sort of specialized task, or bought a $1,200 freecell machine. In either case, I think the numbers are negligable.
2.) The IP change is happening to enough people to even out the stats. You get logged twice for Firefox/Linux, while another person gets logged twice for IE/Windows.
Obviously browser-based stats are not an exact science but the numbers are good enough to show trends and general statistic; good enough to show who is running what (roughly).
Why don't browser-based stats matter? They show who's running what at the time they browsed X site. If you run it from your friend's house, then he's running that OS, from work then they're running that OS. What's the problem?
I agree with what you're saying, but I disagree that ms office opens quickly on windows. I *dread* starting office on any platform, as it is entirely too slow to open (though once opened, or pre-loaded into memory, it's quick enough).
OMFG! Knock it off, please. Unless these are jokes that have gone on for way too many posts, you're a complete idiot. You really should lighten up, and nobody gives a shit about your country, or what you believe to be the ideals of your country.
Indeed. Furthermore, unless I'm grossly mistaken, templates are little more than pre-compiler macros, so why the hell would you get a speedup out of that? Come to think of it, what is parents parent rationale behind C++ templates outperforming C? Or any language construct having such optimal qualities so as to wholly outperform another language?
How did Firefox get associated with Linux? It's available on many platforms. I have plenty of friends that use Firefox and don't know/care about Linux.
PS: Thanks for explaning Micro$oft vs Microsoft. I didn't get that until now.
COBOL was slopped together from sweat and old shoes back in the day in the hopes that any idiot (management) could pick it up. Which begs the question, why doesn't management just learn COBOL and finish the job?
Those many would be wrong. As long as it's well-formed XML, and the binary is wrapped in a CDATA, or more likely base64, it's XML. What critieria, in the opionion of these 'many', must be satisfied?

Don't know where to start with this one...
I'll just avoid the redundancy of explaining that Firefox doesn't hurt Linux AT ALL, and instead tell you why we *NEED* Firefox, and I think I can sum it up in one term: MSHTML.
Why oh why must MS re-standardize everything (rhetorical)? Firefox is good because it sticks to the standards. Web dorks don't have to create two sets, or one mangled set, of HTML & CSS. It is true that not everything is defined in the standards, and much is left to the implementation, but standards are our friends, and we shouldn't have to cater to the person who happens to be in control, bending the rules.
I also feel bad for those people who deal with popups and millions of windows all over the place, not knowing that a perfectly good browser is full of the features they're wishing for (and please don't give me some elitest crap about they deserve it). We need Firefox (or Opera, or Safari, or any Standards-compliant browser that vows to stick to the standards) to swoop in and save us.

A goatse link? You're the coolest. Do us all a favor and stop being a dumbass trying to impress other dumbasses.
"Our old code in Language X sucks, our new code in Language Y is better written" doesn't mean that X is better than Y.
I know what you meant, but for clarity's sake, that should be written as:
"Our old code in Language X sucks, our new code in Language Y is better written" doesn't mean that Y is better than x.

holy crap man. you're like my fucking hero. keep up the good work, everybody here is way too mature. you're keeping the balance.
Jesus you're a fucking idiot.
The gum is his breakfast. He can't even afford to sign in.
American microbrews are good. It's just our over-commercialized redneck beer that sucks (miller, bud, etc.). Have a Samuel Jackson. Mmm-mmm, bitch!

That could work out for you

"Not tonight, I'm tired"
"This may be our last night together!"

Where are you getting that figure from? The summary says Bittorrent traffic is about 35% of all net traffic. You're saying 70% is P2P?
Yeah, supported by all the important browsers.
You've got it all wrong. We've only been around for about 6,000 years. Just ask lil' Suzy.
you are the pedantic genius you think you are.
But it's so pretty!
