iPad: - boots faster - is lighter - digital compass - ips lcd - looks cooler
I think it depends on what are you using it for. And yes, I will pay extra $200 if it boots fast and much lighter. I don't need a computer I need an appliance. It's like comparing a home-based firewall solution celeron server + iptables and linksys routers + dd-wrt. I'll get a linksys (cheaper electricity and smaller).
whenever you buy a new pc or laptop reformat it.. install a fresh copy of winxp/linux/bsd whatever... download the drivers manually/install the latest kernel etc..
i hate about gnome 2.6 or gnome 2.x+ is that they have a lot of dependencies.. i know there are scripts that will compile gnome from scratch.. but still... why dont they merge all the required packages into one base directory like gnome-base ^^x... or merge all required packages into one dir
well $450k is big enough to show that they're serious about the open source movement... dont think about how big or small they're betting on.. it's the thought that counts
actually it depends... here in the philippines in the late 90's comics were superior.. starting 1998 anime/manga advertisement were out in the public fast and growing.. plus there were a lot of anime shows than cartoon and stocks of manga are bigger than comics.. some people are biased too.. like for example i like ranma 1/2 then a friend of mine saw my mangas of ranma.. after a day he liked it too and bought some mangas.. w/out knowing whats the story all about...
i agree in prohibiting transfering of files... do they prohibit sharing/trading of credit cards? they cant even stop credit card trading channels let's see if they can stop file sharing..
