Didn't Bob Lazar said in his interview a decade ago that they are using element 115 at Area 51 to power UFOs, and that they have large quantities of it from the ETs?
K++ Codec Pack has QuickTime/Real plugins for the browsers, so you don't have to install quicktime/real. The media player classic that comes with it doesn't really work, so this browser plugin only works for those sites that have the players embedded. Look arround the net, you'll find them. They are called QuickTime Alternative v1.22 and Real Player Alternative v1.11. There might be newer versions, or ones intergrated with K++ Codec Pack, but those are the ones that I have.
How many let the virus through to attack SCO?

I wonder how many people who knew about this virus let it through in order to attack SCO/Microsoft. I haven't had a virus in years, I don't know why I even have an antivirus/firewall, you can look at the processes list and netstat to see if any process has opened a suspicious port. Anyway BitDefender hasn't said anything about MyDoom. BitDefender is the other good Romanian antivirus/firewall (BitDefender Pro has a firewall too) which hasn't been bought by Microsoft, which took RAV's business. I remember that they were giving BitDefender with 60% off for those who bought RAV when that happened last year. It is cheap, fast, and less bloated than Norton, McAffe and other crap, and has a linux version too.

If you people want to see real football, turn your TV to a football match on a channel that has the English Premiership League. That is the real FOOTBALL. Running around with a ball isn't "foot-ball". If still like this yanky crap, take a look at Rugby (named after Rugby, England where it was inveted), which is much better, even Aussie football is beter than your rubbish.
If you want to make Java good, put all the features of C# Whidbey (generics included) into Java. Java is bad for graphics stuff because it doesn't support objects passed by value (primitive types [structs]).
Structs are less expensive than classes and sometims they are better as the example bellow. SWT is a better product, I'm only touching Java apps that have been written with SWT like Azureus. If you didnt' know that it was written in Java, you'd think it was native. I like Azureus.

I can use XP by setting the thread priority on the process to something lower than normal. That has nothing to do with 7zip. 7zip has a slow algorithm.
Need I say more? Better compression that Zip. For those of you who will talk about 7zip; 7zip is too slow compared to winrar, almost 4 times slower while having 5-10% better compression, which is not worth it. You have to compromise between time and compression ration, WinRAR is a good bet.
Need I say more, 7.5 Beta is super. Fast as hell, responsive GUI, fast rendering engine (not supports as much as gecko, but good enough). Screw that xul rubbish, too damn slow.
Everything is commercial now, I hate search engines. If you search for technical details about a product, 99% of the sites point to a shopping site. You have to search -shop -shopping -buy -sale -. In this case, if you want to do research on that story, you get one link to BBC. It is annoying as hell. A search engine should be made where every site in the database is verified and none of them are shopping sites, or sites that have paid to be the first link in the search result. The Internet was designed for information to be shared and easily accessible, but now it is very hard to find the information you want because everybody is trying to sell you something. It is annoying! The more a search engine becomes popular (e.g.: Google [which is now a verb]) the worst it is going to get because the company behind it cares more about the paper with the presidents than good search results. Some of us, programmers, which read Slashdot need to create a search engine where information sites and shopping sites are separated. I'm sure funding can be found out there since many more people/companies are frustrated about where search engines go.
I don't care about your *nix rubbish, I am proud of using windows and it works for me. You have to understand that most of the world does not use that rubbish which is still stuck in the 70s when it comes to usabillity. Linux will never even go passed Apple's marketshare.
As I said before, people like you, lazy bastards, don't like to download 900KB of WinRAR, when it can save you a lot. I'm not on dial up. I got a 2MB down/ 128KB up connection. While dowloading speed is average, upload speed still suck. On very large files, with winrar you can save 100-200MB more than zip. Most of the downloads on the warez scene are RAR files. I preffer compression to supporting old versions. Now maybe there is a way for the extraction process to be identical while the compression process changes.
Don't know what you are talking about. 1995? Are you blind? The icons aren't that great, but they are 32 bit and every dialog and window is where it is supposed to be.
I personally don't like zip. WinRAR compresses the files to significantly smaller size than zip. There hasn't been any improvement in WinZIP. The version increments with only new explorer integration, new menus, or other GUI crap, but the most important part which is the compression algorithm has been sucking for years. I find WinRAR to be better than WinACE. RAR has been existence since the early 90's. I might be wrong, it could be late 80's. Right now WinRAR is at version 3.3 beta. RAR with each new significant increment of the version number, the compression has been improved. WinZIP is at 9.0 Beta i believe and it sucks just like the day it came out. The only reason why it is so popular is because users don't know better, heavy marketing, and stupid reviews who praise explorer integration over compression. For those of you who bitch about why the you have to upgrade WinRAR because the format changed are just plain idiots. Download the 981KB app and stop whining. The compression is always improved, unlike zip, that is why a newer version of WinRAR is required. What's wrong with your mentality people? Would you rather waste more time and bandwidth just because you are too lazy to intall a newer version?
The status has been upgraded from critical to serious condition. Opportunity will most likely have the same problem since they are twin brothers and had an identical build process. They better figure out what is wrong with this rover before sending Opportunity to invetigate its part of Mars.
Whenever Jolene Blalock is on camera, I don't pay attention to anybody else. She seems to be the only person that can keep this show on the air. She is a beautiful woman, too bad that she is married. Pointy years are so sexy. All the star trek shows of the past were based on intellectual events and discussions between the characters and not much action. I have not seen voyager though. Nemesis did a polarity shift and all of it was pure action without much of a story and a lot of CGI, just like many other stupid Hollywood movies in the recent years. Enterprise is a good show, a lot of action, some story (not the greatest). I wonder how the ratings will go down if you take Jolene Blalock out of a few episodes. While I enjoy seeing Jolene in those sexy clothes, the viewers should focus on the character instead of what the actor looks like. They could do a test run of a few episodes with her wearing the normal uniform on the Enterprise and see how the viewers react.
Windows 2000 NT5.0 Windows XP NT 5.1 Windows 2003 NT 5.2
No rewrites, only additions, fixes, more multimedia integration (in case of xp). IIS is more integrated with the NT kernel on 2003. That may have been a rewrite in case of IIS, which resulted in grate improvements. I don't know where you got the stupid idea of XP being a rewrite of 2000. You can't rewrite an OS in 1.5 years.
It seems that FreeBSD 5.2 does not work with vmware nor the crappy virtual pc. Vmware throws "NOT_SUPPORTED" error, while virtual PC just hangs. I really wished i could test FreeBSD 5.2.
I'd like to see pros and cons, also benchmarks of Linux 2.6.1 vs. FreeBSD 5.2. Also the best linux distribution using the 2.6.1 kernel (or a few of the most popular since this is different from person to person) vs. FreeBSD 5.2, from downloading to installation to general use as a server/workstation, configurint etc.
