The reason it requires IE is because windowsupdate.microsoft.com has to use ActiveX to see what packages/updates you have installed, and which ones you don't have installed. Since Mozilla/Opera/etc believe in privacy (and they CANT do activex), they are not going to support activex and let microsoft see all your installed packages.

Keyword rockstar lifestyle. If you really think about it, it is probably about time the economy stoped rewarding stupidity, and start giving money to better things like technological development and not people who snort lines of ants and sing. Just my 2 cents.

I have discovered nerds are unpopular, and I was a nerd. So I stopped wearing khacki pants/polo shirt, and wear bluejeans/tshirt. I make stupid comments and jokes every chance I get, and I stopped taking hard classes, and started making worse grades, I am already getting popular. This may sound stupid at first, but it is true and it works. Grammer Nazi's on slashdot are probably the most hated people in the real world. I came to decide I don't need good grades to get along in life, all I need is good intentions. I think I will live, and if not I will die, I am happier now too that I am less nerdy around other people. Sure, you can say, "I don't need other people to be happy" but thruth of it is, you probably need to loosen up and take more showers, and you will find yourself TRULY happy around other people.

The professor there even said that Netscape will die from loss of profit/etc. He said, "all of you trendy non-ms people are just going to have to get over with it" and said frontpage/ie are here to stay forever. He then asked us why we used a text editor to design sites with. I told him that I do not give in to microsoft's monopoly, and that I use PHP/Perl in my sites for dynamic content. I told him true nonproprietary dyanamic content that actually works is not going to be done through dropdown menus. He could not come up with a responce.
