i HATE what you just said... beacuse i know its true how many people do we all know who rushed to get windows media player 9. True example 1 "But tim - it gives them the right to delete all your Mp3's" "Yeah but they wouldnt do that would they - and anyway it has new flashy effects". True example 2 "But sam it is full of DRM and adds DRM to all your ripped tracks" - "Yeah but you can switch it off - look there's an option" "And if you beleive that then bill gates is my drinking buddy"
Think about other computing equipment that need to be in thease environments. The best people to speak to would be the people who manufacture traffic lights, CCTV systems and cable tv systems.
no im from the UK too - But the emulated version i have on the pc must be US beacuse it has 7up on the loading screen and little 7up logo's to collect (as well as the cool spots) i cant remember if the UK version of this i borrowed off my friend about 10 years ago had / didnt have the 7up stuff in. but im pretty sure there were 7up logo's to collect??? Ah the good old days of fido dido - i think i have a t shirt with him on somewhere:-)
not to mention it's all encoded in shitty low-quality DivX - they spent all their pocket money making the game and couldnt afford the high quality divX encoder;-)
A little bit of revenge that they cannot prove was done by you is ok if you're already in shit street. Yes but like a lot of slashdot posters in this article who have been saying of the wrongdoings (was if you theolien who said about your boss downloading porn at 6am or someoen else - bah its 3am here) there is a nice permenant record with your name on it. and lets face it it can be traced back to you - most people use the same online handle for usenet , email accounts, and slashdot some of which will have your real name on.
you call yourself a BoFH and you would delete all their MP3 and porn without taking a copy for yourself?. - hand in your Bofh badge..... AND the other one.
Ok think about this, how many of you have played through Super Mario Brothers on your NES or SNES and loved it? - most who played it i would guess. How many of you played through Super mario world and loved it, again most, same goes for the lost levels and Super mario brothers 3 (2 was a disaster but then the game was converted from japanese from another game which wasnt even anything to do with mario) I played super mario 64 and it was great, however it wasnt as good as the old 2d sidescrollers, i prefered all of them. I dont want to do different challenges over the same landscape, id rather do lots of varying stuff like in 2d. I also played the other day super mario sunshine, the graphics were stunning, but the gameplay was a little boring. Nintendo, make us all some more 2d mario games - please.
That sladhot "gramophone" logo has been used so many times for "RIAA Does something else evil" stories everytime i see it i get angry:-( Good to see Ogg being recognised like this - maybe more manufacturers will incorporate it into devices now.
blue shift didnt include gordon as the character anyway - it was barney the security guard you see from the train banging on the door in the first minute of half life - and thats precisely where you start off.
i would say not. I think what most virus writers want to do is get a worm that quickly spreads to everyone. Weather it hangs around is of no importence, so having a way it could be disabled after a reasonable ammount of time (a few weeks) would not be bad for them. Just like game companies only have copy protection so they get huge sales for the first week or so, - they know the protection will be broken but not for a short while afterwards.
i wouldnt have said so. most people wont know the worm is running and so will not know it has been removed. On the other hand someone who was running the worm to test (Av software for example) would know it auto updated itself and accept whatever updates it got from there
I tried what the other posters suggested and it didnt work, phoned MS - they seemed to think the Product id (im sure thats unique to my mouse its so long) was 1 digit too long - anyway their sending me another one free. err thanks M$ ???
put some rotting fish in their air ducts. or just move a glass body filled with some kind of crude oil derivative with rag like burning matter capping it through their windows.;-)
