Seriously Electric cars for *only* 6k more? Where do I sign up? A friend drives a volt and fills up the tank once every 3 months. I drive the same distance, fill up once a week around $50 a fill up. So He spends $200 a year on gas, where I spend $2600. The cost would be made up in a little after two years! When we bought our cars, his was $16 grand more which would have take six plus years.
While I agree they need fewer models than they currently have for sale, the optimal number is probably higher than what Apple has. Plus, they'd wan't to keep seperate lines for buisness and consumer for part availiblilty.
Well, I can think of some scenarios where the stock price does not actually reflect the true value of the company. Like Enron and world com. The price people are willing to pay is dependant on the information they have about the company. If that is wrong due to book cooking, then the value those with the faulty infomation have placed on it is also wrong.
Its daemon management, It by its nature touches a lot of stuff to do its job well. Now the relivant question is, could it do everything it needs to do in a cleaner fashion with well established interfaces allowing other programs to do the same thing, while also limiting systemd to just do a subset of it. Leinart seems think that's a silly goal, to have a daemon manager that isn't as good as it could be.
It *shouldn't* matter how long it takes your server to boot, but it really could be critical in the event of an outage. In any case systemD solves more problems than optimising boot times.
2) Does that take into account that they lost nearly a Billion dollars this past quarter? At this rate they''d actually be worth nothing in three years. That is factored into the the market valuation, is it in yours?
Insightful. Sorry no mod points, but having shopped for a laptop recently I was sorely disapointed. Luckily, Lenovo offers a 1080 thinkbook. In general, the configurability of laptops is way down from what it once was. I miss gateway...
I haven't found a good one that works as well as something like a traditional netbook where its easy to grab and type on a train or hold on my lap. I think the asus transformer is a better solution for this problem than nexus 7+ bluetooth keyboard.
For what its worth, the only Vbscript I've seen has been replaced with Python. Obviously the authors of the original code were just too lazy to actually do a full VB Gui app. I'm sure there are a lot of use cases where python couldn't replace vbscript as nearly as well as powershell. I've also converted a few to bash for cygwin. I don't like using platform specific code.
It sounds like you're asking if its open or closed. its open. Marketing is rather limited in many markets, so it remains to be seen what argument they have for it, other than "firefox! now for your phone".
At least they were doing what they said they were doing. What was the purpose of Occupy? Why Occupying stuff/places. That's something I, the potential protestor can understand and get behind. Who's streets?, our streets!
Bildenbug is all " new world order/vacines/ cancer mind control grrr". Just can't get behind that. Need to simplify and stay on message.
So , that's why there isn't a vicious debate over things like abortion, the death penalty, or harry potter books. I was curious why we didn't debate those vigerously in politics. Now I know, we all have the same defintion of Evil. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
you know what's different between the NSA 2013 and the Stasi? Immidiate consequences. If someone informed on you doing something the government didn't like, they'd be dealt with immediatly. This helped connect the idea in people's minds that constant government survaleance = bad thing. Right now, that's not happening. NSA has all this data, but they haven't done anything with it that people can see. That doesn't mean its harmless, it just means that people can't see the harm yet.
So its not a "new world order", but just the "existing world power" conspiracy? While on the surface that sounds exactly like what a NWO conspiracy nut would like, somehow I doubt it. I think they need to rename what they are afraid of. I'm not exactly sure if they even know. A reporter went to the Bildenburg conference, to try and figure out what they were protesting, but only got vague references to fluoride related mind control and "awareness".
Well, to answer your question, The difference is that Android manufactores compete with other Android manufactorers. There is more pressure to compete within the android ecosystem, than the Apple. Right now, most people decide Apple or Android, then choose the particular device within the ecosystem. That's where they would turn to a benchmark, if they were to use one at all. IMHO, they're stupid to use one at all because they don't measure real world performance.
That sounds like a great idea, but that would just favor phones with larger batteries. At the end of the day, the benchmark wouldn't accurately represent real life use. Which is the only reason to look at them, unless you're a fan of bar charts and statistics.

No, you are thinking of geeks. Nerds are just insanely smart people.
A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?
What makes you think GPG is?
Whoops, moderated troll wrong way. My apologies.
At least the upchucker took the time to arrange his vomit such that the indenting was consistent.

Several Linux Kernel Devs have installed Fedora on the high end Pixel. I don't know if there are any efforts to support any other machines.

Just here to shoot the Bull. Don't float it, and I won't shoot it.

Well, then the protesters really need to work on their marketing.

RedHat isn't the only Wayland supporter. Its more like Canonical is supporting Mir, and everyone else is working on Wayland.
