That bastard has invented time travel, and or imortality! Which everyone knows, is explicitly banned in the TOS of Google Plus. That's why he got banned.
I'm pretty sure people have said that the graphics drivers on Linux weren't decent. And there usually right about that. The true miracle here is that there is apparently one driver for linux that's pretty good.
Well, aside from your crazy definition of what racism is ( I hate the syrian government, therefore I must be racist?), its also a stupid summary. The Chinese government already can do pretty much what ever the f*ck it wants to inside its own borders. I'm not sure they really care about any traffic from Africa or the Middle east, maybe the rest of Asia, but I'd imagine they'd already have good info through other means. If they were really trying to do bad stuff they wouldn't put vulnerabilities into an untrusted brand, they'd put them into cisco or juniper that would be used by higher valued targets.
Funny, and kind of true. In windows, AMD blows the crap out of intel graphics, always. On linux, well the southern islands Chips from amd still don't work after 6 mounths. With the pre SI chips, Intel and AMD swap benchmark victories. with AMD's varying wildly depending on the exact chip. Intel is just more consistant across the board. Supposedly AMD will do a better job of that starting with the next generation, but we'll have to wait and see.
Disagree. Besides killing amd in the cpu relm, its pretty much killing them in the open source graphics department too. Intel gets their drivers released *before* the actual hardware. Thats good stuff man.
No, facebook isn't saying that it will cost facebook thousands of dollars to update a field. Its saying they require the purchase of thousands of dollars in advertising before they will change it. That I beleive. Is it fair? I'm not sure, but if you want to be on facebook, you have to play by their rules.
The amount of money it costs a buisness to perform an action is not always related to how much they charge, econ 101.
Because they are upset with facebook for this issue as well as a completly unrelated issue where they changed their company name, but facebook won't let them change the name of their page for less than 20 k in ad purchases.
Really. There are large costs associated with company name changes. That is not news. Anyone else starting a buisness would be advised to choose a name they really want before lanching, or pay the associated costs.
This is pretty close to what the government is doing in this case, slapping down a medical prodcedure that doesn't have the benifits and risks well known. But yes, I would like there to be more idividual choice when all of the information is known. A painkiller recently was removed because the fda decided that the known side effect of a very small increase in heart attacks was no longer accepted due to the existence of other painkillers on the market. This pain killer was the only one that worked well for one of my siblings suffering from cronic pain. It didn't get them high, was non addictive and releived the pain without any appreciable side effect that is common with others. When its a known, small risk, the FDA should leave it up to physicians and patients.
PC's were so much cheaper, that people were willing to put up with it for the price. It beat the heck out of using a special purpopse word processor or a typewriter. There was a lot of good and cheap software availible as well.
Even if they did, I see no reason why they couldn't smoke them in private
Then how do you explain why people still smoke in public places?
People are stupid, which is fine, if their own stupidity only affects themselves, but when their stupidity starts affecting other people the government does have a legitimate role in stepping in to protect other people. It is very difficult to figure out where that line is in many cases.
Right now, there are tons of examples of nutrient suppliments blatently lying about their effect and contents of their suppliments. How can anyone make up their mind in this case? Shouldn't the government step in and require these companies to do proper research?
You do remeber the time where apple was a couple days from insolvency, right? MS in conjunction with OEM partners did make better computers than apple for most of the 90's.
Win 3.1 was the begining of the end for Mac domminance of home systems. It really wasn't that much worse.
There is a group of lawyers I know here in the US that requires its lawyers to conduct research on their facebook friends. The post fake updates and try to provoke responses from they're friends to see what kinds of arguments work on people of various backgrounds.
When I learned of this, from a lawyer involved, I contacted the FTC and the EFF, but never heard back. Apparently its legal, or no one reall cares enough.
You don't live near me. Teachers around here regularly make six figures. Once tenured, they can't be fired for performance. Its a nice gig, if you can get it.
How do you host the service though? Virtual hosting? Colocated box? I'm not sure I would trust either of those for my own online identity. I'm too paranoid that I'm not paranoid enough of a sys admin to host my own identity.
Yeah, I think its script kiddies marying parts of stuxnet with metasploit. Thunderstuck is an obvious sign of a person in desperate need of friends with musical taste. AC/DC was the NickelBack of the 80's.
You can't use the assumption that they are wrong in an explanation as to why they are wrong. Again, bad logic makes my head hurt.
If there was only one religeon that proposed the existience of God would that mean that its true? Of course not. So having a million doesn't prove that they are all wrong.
While that's an obvious throw away comment, I just hate lazy thinking.
If you have 100 scientists in a room each one with a different theory for an unexplained phenominon, like the exapnsion rate of the universe, does that mean that they are all wrong? No, not really. Now if they all had purchased their scientific degrees from quaker oats, then yes they're probably all wrong.
Well, if it wants a small userbase of executives, it has to accept that small revenue stream comming from those people.

Furthermore, when did hating a government mean you hated the people it governed?

DOS 4? What was wrong with DOS 4? I liked it. Didn't seem that bad to me...
Disagree. Besides killing amd in the cpu relm, its pretty much killing them in the open source graphics department too. Intel gets their drivers released *before* the actual hardware. Thats good stuff man.

I agree 100%. However, in this case, there aren't many beholders who's eyes value it at that price.

Its not like this is the first time its been down or anything. If your business model is tied to twitter never going down, you deserve to go bankrupt.

The company that has been hemmoraging money since 2004 will save Google from declining ad revenues?
Five thousand percent of an infinitesimally small number is still an infinitesimally small number ... ;P
Yeah, I think its script kiddies marying parts of stuxnet with metasploit. Thunderstuck is an obvious sign of a person in desperate need of friends with musical taste. AC/DC was the NickelBack of the 80's.
Yeah, but that song is about how bad the USA is at taking care of people, not how awesome it is to live here.
