People want websites that are actually usable and informative today. I'm not sure what that has to do with thin or fat clients through. Could you elaborate?
Yes, those geniuses at google, wrote a piece of software that rerouted power form the rear deflectors to modulate the refresh rate of the lcd screen to emit an interference signal that modifies the TMobile compatible 3G signal from 1700 MHz for download and 2100 MHz for upload to the A&TT frequency of 1900 MHz. I'm just not sure what they're going to do to handle the excess tachyon radiation pressure on the the glass.
The vast majority of my friends are not tech savy. Many of them use open office. I'd put it at around the 30%. Those that don't use it, know what it is. I'm not aware of any personal contacts that do not know what it is.
Which is exactly why Italian English is superior. The violent pronunciation is reinforced by the nonverbal gesturing leading to an unmistakable communication of a wish to induce bodily harm.
But there is no proof that is the case. You can't just assign an opinion to millions of people. How does anyone know what millions of people want without doing a statistically significant poll? Furthermore, millions does not necessarily imply a majority. Millions of people may live in the United states, but that doesn't mean that that most people live in the united states.
For the most part you're taking your opinion, or those of your acquaintances, and assigning them to a huge number of people. I object on the basis of logic, rather than any opinion I actually have about flash.
But you're just assuming that millions of people with iPhones have discovered that they really don't need flash. That's not a rational conclusion.
Lets extend that logic to a different domain: healthcare
Millions of Americans have discovered they don't need health insurance! They continue to go to the emergency room when they are sick! The only people who think they do are small in number and whine a lot about it.
I prefer Gnu Userland. As for the kernel, its another option. Even though I prefer KDE, I wouldn't say that Gnome devs are wasting their time, or debian shouldn't allow users to install it. FreeBSD's kernel seems to be more performance tuned than Open BSD or Net BSD. Makes sense to me.
Maybe that won't be so bad then. Javascript will mainly just interpret the binary flash file and represent it back to the browser as svg +javascript. It doesn't have to render each frame of the movie, it could just tells the browser the key frames and the general instructions of how to get from key frame to key frame. Not going to be as fast as flash, but it still has a chance of not being pear pc* slow.
For you younger folks or older folks with limited mental faculties, Pear pc was an emulator of a power pc based apple system that ran 25 times slower than the host computer. Somethings are technically possible, but practically useless. This doesn't look like one of them.
Switching away from IE doesn't mean you can stop supporting it; it's a core OS component.
Not sure what you mean. What the heck does support mean? Obviously, people have and do use other browsers as their default in windows. Which means that they are no longer vulnerable to ie's problems when surfing the web. What does support firefox mean? Training you staff to know where to click to disable bad extensions? Isn't that pretty trivial?
How difficult would it be to create a custom installation of firefox in the style of IEAK? It is open source...
I don't mean to say there aren't barriers to making the switch, but it seems in the light of all of IE's problems that its much better in the long term to get away from it. As time goes on the list of excuses just seems to get lamer and lamer.
Really? Every proprietary piece of software I've worked on, had that in its Eula. Who knows what the purchasing companies losses might be if you left a dangling pointer? You never know how someone is going to use a piece of software.
Yeah. They really are not editors. I don't really think they necessarily should be, either. They basically just post stuff, editing only occasionally. I mean a garbage man also takes in toxic chemicals to be properly disposed of twice a year, but we don't call them "Toxic waste disposer men".
Well, some of those extra services are actually a good idea, albeit not really necessary on their accelerated schedule. You need to research those things ahead of time. Somethings are snake oil, somethings are the equivalent of vaccines: their necessity is sometimes only apparent when you already have the problem they were designed to prevent.
Yeah, but then you have to keep a closer eye on what they install on the dev machine and make sure that it doesn't affect the application. If the app requires the software change on the server, they have to communicate that to those who control the servers. There are some tools that make sense in dev, that should never be put live.
Really $30 a month? I pay $15 with another $5 in taxes and fees. I think they're either charging people where you live more, or you're slightly exagerating.
Yeah, It shouldn't be on anything imitation. They're cheapening the brand. If I were in charge, I'd just release a 911 turbo special edition with missile toe accents and name it the sled edition.

I disagree; I think its hard to take me seriously, period.

Yeah, no kidding. I guess the nerds never learned objective reasoning in an emotional situation.

Doesn't investing in SPARC processors, at this point, sound a bit ... RISC-y?

Yes, it is. So Buy me a new car, or your kids die. I'm fine with either outcome really.

It efficiently removes dangerous electrical energy from your outlet.

Sweet! Time to restart Mainway Toys! I'll be rich. And think of all the happy children with their Teddy Chainsaw Bears.

Seriously? Being able to recover you data faster, isn't a consideration? Or do you have a big SAN for all of the critical application data?

Yeah. That's the use case for it allright. Large enough company to not mind paying for all the adobe software required to send a one off pdf form.

If there is one thing I don't know, its when to quit. Here's another:
If Ford's exist, why does anyone buy a Mercury?

Lame mod. But maybe shame on me for lack of detail. Let me rephrase it in better terms.
Nissan versa's exist, why do people buy the more expensive mini cooper?
