except if your REALLY trying to reach that goal you would not be making a HYBRID engine. Your still using gas, there is no going around that fact. And as I pointed out your likely still using MORE gas than many various ways you can make a non-hybrid powertrain use less. You can try to play with MPG figures all you want with your hybrids, but I can still see a 20 year old Geo that gets better gas milage than a hybrid prius or insight without the useless weight of a electric motor, and I can still see trucks out there that make better gas milage than their hybrid versions as long as the driver knows how to actually drive and not pump the gas as hard as possible.

Through simple driving tweaks, many of these vehicles could make much better gas milage without costing a dime. And then if you NEEDED to spend money, there are much cheaper ways, up to and including whole engine swaps that are still cheaper and as efficiant or BETTER than converting to "hybrid." I just dont get the alure of hybrid, while its nice to be as free of gas as possible, responsible driving will go a lot further than a half battery power car ever would.

It can both be used as evidence that an attempt was made to contact the rights abuser that was ignored, as well as if the DMCA notice was in fact invalid and the "rights holder" did not in fact hold the claimed items, it is evidence for fines to be placed on the "rights holder" for illegally claimed ownership.

Unfortunately the second part is rarely if ever applied which is why we have the situations we do now. If even one major organization was forced to play the massive fines they are supposed to, it would be the end of frequent applications.

Its not that its shifted, its that for various reasons people are riding Apple harder than Microsoft or Dell, HP etc.. Obviously it's their own fault. Advertising it "just works" means people will go out of their way to prove it doesn't. But the media has been especially hard on Apple since while owning less of the market they ARE the more popular of the computer manufactures. so you have situations like this, where antidotal evidence turns into 30, 40 50% of people are having issues with no data to even come CLOSE to backing up the claim. Or the iPhone of which everyone blamed Apple for what turned out to be AT&Ts shitty 3G service.

But contrary to your belief Leopard has been fine, as has the genius service beyond the first day where they had store issues. So if your having problems with them its more likely your issue. Thats exactly what the NY law does, shift the burden from the individual which is notoriously difficult to pursue to the retailer which is a lot easier to go after.

The problem is actually both, it IS a huge unjustified burden on a company to tax individuals especially if they have no offices or logistical presence in the state, as well as it is in most cases a desire from consumers to bypass what is felt to be unjustifiably high sales tax. To put it in perspective, NY recently changed their sales tax because it was estimated they lost BILLIONS a year thanks to New Yorkers driving into NJ and CT because our sales taxes where much more relaxed. Even today since NY changed their archaic sales tax laws a lot of NY residence still drive into NJ for major purchases since all NY did was remove tax on items 100 or less, big money items are still taxed something like 10% which is HUGE when you think about cars or other high price items.

So what the law amounted to is they wanted retailers who are web based to be their cops, when its their own screw-ups that have caused NY residence to rebel and not pay their taxes on purchased items. Not surprising though considering NY has the largest budget deficit of any state in the nation right now and they just dont get WHY people dont want to pay the highest sales tax in the nation.

You agreed to their contract by installing the software. If you say No I reject your EULA when installing the software you are kicked out of the software. So to say yes THEN deciding to say no after saying yes just to trick the installer to install the software, you have breeched contract and yes Apple CAN sue you. The issue you have though is this has never been challenged in court by anyone for ANY software. There is a lot to be had by how legal a contract is in that you can not actually sign it and the company can not actually prove YOU are the person who installed it.

But yeah your idea of how to bypass the EULA is completely illegal as it stands now and would only be legal if it was challenged and you won, which the way courts have been ruling when it comes to tech issues is HIGHLY unlikely.

    2) From everything seen and printed they are being as faithful as possible to the book down to the color scheme of key scenes which are staying on the pastel range like the comic. They are going so faithful as to keep everything minus black freighter, which WILL BE IN THE DVD which will be clocking in at over 5 hours. The movie cut it to keep from going over 3 hours. The movie is planned to be just shy of 3 hours. Everyone who was involved in the comic minue Moore has been involved in the movie from the start. Its just Moore who has become somewhat a recluse. Dave Gibbons even begged him to reconsidered, telling him he would like what they where doing and Moore would have none of it.

Get your facts straight bub before you start spouting off rumor. They are positively being faithful to the book, and Moore chose not to be involved so that he could "bash it with a clear conscious" his quote, they didnt keep him out. Moore got burned and now takes it out on EVERYTHING regardless of quality.
