depends on your contract. If your contract with your company is vague enough, your boss could very well do that. My contact doesn't say I have to deliver computers or pull them back to our office, but work wise I have to and our Union was pretty clear to us when we complained that we wouldn't have a defense if we decided to fight it because while not stipulated in the contract its a assumed part of the job.

So again the argument of Open Market is telling them no is completely wrong, open market is saying what they doing is what they SHOULD be doing.

The freaking MAC wasnt groundbreaking, the iPod was a 5 year old idea at the point of its debut, and Windows and the Mac OS certainly where not.... it was all in presentation, of which Apple has trumped every single company out there. I think the OP is confusing AppleCare phone service (which is 90 days) with their actual warranty which is 1-3 years depending on if you buy the AppleCare plan. And as anyone who buys a Apple product knows, you ALWAYS buy the Protection Plan contrary what is normal practice for other electronics. I have gotten 2 brand new laptops out of that extra 200 bucks you pay since they will go through hoops to fix things even if its not entirely their fault.

And Vorbis just will never be used by anyone as long as it doesnt contain DRM and even then MP3 is the next format with Vorbis about as likely a supported format as Betamax.

This isnt even technically a shuttle... its a test bed system which is something NASA and the military have launched multiple times.. again technically the Air Force can not even launch the thing as a military object, it would go against the treaties in place and while I do not put it past our current government, they likely will not be in power when this thing is supposed to be tested and certainly if it get the green light for production.

There are plenty of instructions out there on how to spoof the OS to run on anything from a high end Alienware system, to those microlaptops all the rage now. So what are they really accomplishing here?

no its not likely it would kill DNA, because few people have ever been convicted on JUST DNA. There are lots of ways DNA can be present at a crime scene, it doesn't have to be because you pulled the trigger and defense lawyers are VERY good at getting this fact out there in such a way that rarely is there seen sufficient evidence unless there is lots of circumstantial evidence present that also point to the SAME guy.
DNA is a tool, not the be all end all. Hell the juice left DNA at his wife's crime scene are we ALL saw on TV how he got off the hook despite DNA AND overwhelming evidence. I would not be singing the swan song on DNA yet, though I may see it used a lot less frequently as the sole piece of evidence to get a warrant.

except the Macbook is 1099 not 1500 base and the extra you pay to bump it up to the 1500 level are in processor, disk drive, memory and hard drive
