They dont own the rights though, they own the rights to EVERYTHING THIS ONE PRODUCER MAKES. Basically they claimed that anything this producer, produces is Fox property, even AFTER killing the guys hopes of working at fox. They did this one before with Dukes of Hazzard and got 17 mill out of it. they are doing it again with Watchmen now.
depends on your contract. If your contract with your company is vague enough, your boss could very well do that. My contact doesn't say I have to deliver computers or pull them back to our office, but work wise I have to and our Union was pretty clear to us when we complained that we wouldn't have a defense if we decided to fight it because while not stipulated in the contract its a assumed part of the job.
except that Sega was dying when they changed their ways, Apple is not only doing ok, they are THRIVING with the way things are, and making billions in profit to boot. So again the argument of Open Market is telling them no is completely wrong, open market is saying what they doing is what they SHOULD be doing.
except we have a number of oil and gas power plants now operating, so it only solves the problem for those whos power comes from portions of the grid that are independent of those sources. And considering gas and oil power is CHEAPER than coal, solar, wind, or nuclear, the increased need for electricity will in effect cause MORE gas and oil plants to be built.
As long as that electricity is coming from coal and fuel powered sources and not solar, wind, water, or nuclear sources, all it does is shift the problem, not solve it.
It's their job to adapt their business model to the open market, it is not the market's job to adapt to their business model.
You ruined your case by saying this since the open market has absolutely no issues with their business model and their billions of dollars of profit prove it, its geeks who take issue and we know full well at this point geeks dont give a crap about legality for the most part.
likely but even if you didnt elect them you still have the issue of those who DO elect them politicizing it. Little further to look that Bush's firings of judicial staff who refused to go after law abiding pornographers under a warped morality persecution from the AG to see that justice in America today is one of political power.
I think being "respectful" is 90% of the reason this country is a mess right now. The fact that the public is too scared of calling their politicians and politicians of other countries hypocritical lying murderers to their face out of fear of being called "disrespectful" or worse "un-American" is disgusting. Maybe you sir need a ball transplant since yours have obviously failed.
um hi NOTHING OUT THERE IS GROUNDBREAKING. The freaking MAC wasnt groundbreaking, the iPod was a 5 year old idea at the point of its debut, and Windows and the Mac OS certainly where not.... it was all in presentation, of which Apple has trumped every single company out there. You would be very hard pressed to say ANYTHING in the tech world in the last 30 years was groundbreaking.... they are all variations on a theme that has existed since the 70' (internet, computer development, OS development etc) Its all in the presentation to the populous and always has been.
I think the OP is confusing AppleCare phone service (which is 90 days) with their actual warranty which is 1-3 years depending on if you buy the AppleCare plan. And as anyone who buys a Apple product knows, you ALWAYS buy the Protection Plan contrary what is normal practice for other electronics. I have gotten 2 brand new laptops out of that extra 200 bucks you pay since they will go through hoops to fix things even if its not entirely their fault.
Doesn't even have to be tech crime. When it comes to money in general unless the person who was stole from is
1) High Profile
2) a large corporation
Then you have little hope of ever getting anything back. Prosecutors just dont care about anything that wont get them a DA job or better and even if thousands or hundreds of thousands are stolen, a kiddie porn or murder case trumps all even if the money stolen ruins the person just the same.
except that its App store related and a jailbreak app would NEVER be approved for distribution from the App store. Only takes a little bit of logic to understand the flaw in your thinking.
Well the issue is from a marketing perspective it DOES look bad, but from USER perspective it looks good, but only to those of us in the industry who care, which is NOT who marketing is going after.
Actually a lot of sane people HAVE knocked Vorbis' quality for quite some time, as well as that loving insane crew we call audiophiles who have pretty much proven Vorbis is not as good as open source advocates claim. But again I have no clue why APPLE is brought in on this.....ACC IS NOT A PROPRIETARY FORMAT AND IT IS NOT OWNED BY APPLE. And Vorbis just will never be used by anyone as long as it doesnt contain DRM and even then MP3 is the next format with Vorbis about as likely a supported format as Betamax.
Or at least replace it with one thats even remotely accurate?
1) They didnt even get the RIGHT CRAFT.
2) There never was EVER a secret military shuttle... there where plans to make military shuttles, but they where hardly secret and never made it past the drawing board AS a military project. You could say some of their ideas went into the STS, but then thats hardly a secret.
This isnt even technically a shuttle... its a test bed system which is something NASA and the military have launched multiple times.. again technically the Air Force can not even launch the thing as a military object, it would go against the treaties in place and while I do not put it past our current government, they likely will not be in power when this thing is supposed to be tested and certainly if it get the green light for production.
client management. for large scale distributions AD and Apples equivalant Open Directory and Workgroup Manager beat the pants off the pain it is to administer mac and windows clients from a linux box.
High priced my ass.. its 500 dollars for a unlimited license, and does a hell of a lot more than throw a few OSS solutions into the box. If your going to comment it helps if you have half a clue what your talking about.
I dont understand the reasoning by them anyway. ANY PC can run the Mac OS as long as your willing to play with it to get it to work. There are plenty of instructions out there on how to spoof the OS to run on anything from a high end Alienware system, to those microlaptops all the rage now. So what are they really accomplishing here?
the body-bag scene was the scene they thought about cutting. The Joker was always intended to live this movie. Nolan never liked how the Joker died in Batman.
no its not likely it would kill DNA, because few people have ever been convicted on JUST DNA. There are lots of ways DNA can be present at a crime scene, it doesn't have to be because you pulled the trigger and defense lawyers are VERY good at getting this fact out there in such a way that rarely is there seen sufficient evidence unless there is lots of circumstantial evidence present that also point to the SAME guy.
DNA is a tool, not the be all end all. Hell the juice left DNA at his wife's crime scene are we ALL saw on TV how he got off the hook despite DNA AND overwhelming evidence. I would not be singing the swan song on DNA yet, though I may see it used a lot less frequently as the sole piece of evidence to get a warrant.
funny I find it VERY easy to believe. Right now only 3 people in my own district now the running of the network, and only 1 by extension of that the complete configuration of the OS X server running the mac portion of the district. I have a emergency recovery manual I wrote myself, but it is under lock and key by me to keep all but 2 people from knowing it because I KNOW the other techs and administrators are incompetent political appointees who will royally screw things up and cause much more damage than they solve if they try to implement it without know what is going on.

Hundreds of thousands of education institutions, the US Military (Navy and Army in particular), and a number of Fortune 500 companies are nothing huh?

The DA both PROVED they where wrong in locking him up, AND completely and utterly ruined their case.....all i can say is WOW.
