As for looking better, maybe on the xbox, but the Cube is much more powerful than the PS2 and even I who owns a PS2 will admit it looks like shit compaired to the cube my GF owns.
4) Im not either, Nintendo doesnt rape you when it comes to these systems. and here is the shocker... THEY ARE STILL MAKING A PROFIT AT $75. Microsoft and Sony could never drop below $100 and make a profit. the ones the companies made actually where tested to not disturbe it surprisingly and if its the high end model, there is not much air flow to begin with (they are watercooled)
worse, they make products that do this that while a bit more expensive garentee wont damage the drives or computer from heat output and such.
If your modding your G5 with extra HDs to begin with, odds are your either crazy, or your doing it for your line of work, thus the benifit of having a garentee on the mod from a company far outweighs the money saved hacking it yourself.

Very few people in real world situations EVER need to know how to do this, and most people know the easy ones like.5,.3,.25 etc. If you where in a field where this kinds of calculations where needed all the time, then yes you would need to know how to do them. But honestly I have yet to use anything i learned beyond basic math and trig outside of my work.
Quite frankly I find it more a crime on teaching people how to NOT find the answer, than to use a god damn calculator, especially as we start teaching what was college grade math earlier and earlier in education.

My 1st gen still works perfectly, had no "sticky paste" and was offered a battery replacement for 50 bucks before the policy was ever stated. a) worldpasses are the best way from keeping Blizzardlike stupidity of crashing servers from overloading happening. Its very easy for friends to get together on one world. I did with my girlfriend, it doesnt take rocketscience.
b) only dumb peeple pull up mobs fishing its very easy to tell the difference between a monster and a fish
c) some of the zones in FFXI are beautiful. BUT you cant be a lvl 20 noob to see them. You actually have to work for the right to see some of the areas like sky and CoP.
d) I will give you the LS comment, Although it does make it easier to switch Lss which you will do in the later lvls since youll likely have a dynamus LS HNM LS and social LS
e) jobs really arnt that hard to lvl to 37 for a sub... give me a break, thats like three days to a week of normal play unless your just starting out.
f) grouping honestly is much better than solo play. Its a lot more fun, and a lot easier to make decent XP on, ask any bst since the jobs basically told to be a solo job and they work hard to try to find groups.
g) I played EQ,EQ sucks. Lineage for all its problems held my interest longer than EQ. I mean I started a character and 5 minutes later DROWNED in EQ. I had no problems learning how to get around in FFXI.
eh I could go on, but it just seems like you barely played the game and couldnt hack it.
Likewise unlike the PSP which had a bunch of its headline games at launch, the big huge DS games are comming this summer, with Animal Crossing and Final Fantasy CC DS. So its likely Nintendos figures are going to jump this summer.
And from what i have managed to look up in the other PSP thread here, Sonys only doing well in Japan, in the US they are getting kicked.

and FYI Calculus USED to be college level math back in the 50's 60's. Its now considered Junior in highschool in 90% of the country.
