did you miss the part in predator one where the governator won???
yeah he made it out alive, they pick him up out of the forest, he's all gray and stuff, but he lived
yes Harry can be a fan-boy, but asking for at least a semi decent script isnt much even for a film like this...
Instead we get a movie that tells us that Ripley and crew never found the aliens first, which wouldnt be bad but it also says we have had a queen on earth already which is just bull.
That the predators rite of passage is killing an alien, which is interesting, but instead of hunting a captured alien I would have like to see dropping a bunch of teens onto an already infested planet, seems more sporting to me
heck even the antartica factor is just bull, predators like the warmth, its just these things that tell you no time was taken to make this movie decent, its going to be one big FX orgy
I thought it was alaska but I might have been wrong
I know its someplace cold which is a joke since every movie and book and comic shows you predators like the warmth
wait the script was written by Joss Wheton too, which wasnt half bad.
I think your biggest problem was trying to write a movie revolving around a character who dies in the previous one. Joss did a good job, but they should have left Ellen Riply out of it.
wait better yet, we have a FREAKING queen on earth too... I would say go over to www.aintitcoolnews.com, it is quite the funny as hell ripfest that they do on the script, which was writen by the guy who wrote the Resident Evil movie.
well my question is why would you spend the money to buy a FW 800 when you can only support a FW400.
Regardless apparently this problem has been known for a time accourding to a few websites so it kinda goes back to something I said in the Bill Gates support thread yesterday about people having to treat computers more like pets (and caring for them) vrs. a tool like a hammer
Anyway, acourding to aintitcoolnews.com the script is a total pecie of shit, not taking any of the mythos of either franchize into consideration (and even eliminating the colonial marines since it takes place in present times in ALASKA!!!)
Oh and this was the teaser they showed before the directors cut last night as well
I had the redstone one and it lifted off perfectly, looked just like the film footage, going up slowly and gracefully, not at all like the little alphas and such
someone should make ihim in charge of homeland security....;-)
Anyway in all fairness some of what he says IS true. Very often its people who dont know how to use computers that is the main reason these kinds of security breakdowns happen, not the OS it's self.
Common sense tells us to go to the Auto dealer to get a fix done when there is a recall. Granted we all get a notice if that happens but you know not to drive around too long if there is word it could be serious.
But the computer is a tool to most people akin to a screwdriver or hammer, people really dont look to take care of it, they just use it. If more people looked at it like a pet and not a tool, then maybe people would care for their computers.
That being said, it IS his duty to the customer to both make fixes visable and known and not hide them like Microsoft does on a routine basis, and more importantly make things work better the first time so this stuff doesnt happen every 3 weeks.
One of the things that pisses me off the most about Microsoft vs. Apple is that Microsoft defaults almost everything to being open and insecure half the time. Only with XP was stuff not defaulted to on and did they default you to having a firewall to protect stuff.
And it was always stupid stuff no consumer would ever use that was defaulted to being open, and of course you being the consumer didnt know any better. This is more dangerous now when we see more and more computers connecting full time with the use of cable and DSL vs. even 5 years ago when roughly 97% of traffic was 56k, and therefore only on for short periods.
They are taking steps, but Microsoft has to stop denying it has an important roll in this cause honeslty it does. Everyone is using your OS guys, the least you can do is make sure their computers will be safe.
Well it cant be any worse than the chunks that is the script for the June Alien Vs Predator movie, besides I was looking for a more evenly matched Microsoft vs, and RIAA vs show. Obviously they are two giant organizations that just the weight of the lawyers both will throw against each other impacting themsleves, might creat a small black holee.
(yes I know this is going long but at least your going to have one bad RIAA vs Microsoft joke instead of many smaller ones)
thats not a good enough answer, Im not talking about lying to the media, im talking about putting on a show (using a style like Well's) to get the public into thinking a war is going on, in some cases right down the street when they know it isnt happeneing, I really dont want some bull Bush answer to this one
Seriously, with the widespread nature of the media, could you ever pull something off like that today and have so many people scared shitless

its a law thing, you might have improved it, they might know you have improved it, but they cant risk fixing it for you and having everyone else do what you did and break their computers because they didnt take the care you did.
It's common practice to deny claims to non-stock machines in the whole computer industry, we wont even replace a harddrive here if its still under its warranty. It's just not worth the risk of them not taking it in
It could be VERY possible that its code Apple wrote, since everyone under the sun has heard of xgrid, yet no one yet knows what xgrid is... heck im in the mail-group yet all I know is that it has something to do with cluster computing
a) It's a freaking OFFICE SPACE JOKE, ya think Mike Judge caught shit for writing it.... no I think not.
b) I find it funny and I am the grandson of a surviver, who ALSO found it (and the movie it's self ) funny. Well ok the fish thing wasnt so funny to her but still!!!!
c) It's over-sensitive people like you who start wars over stupid shit you should just shrug off, instead of letting everyone be themselves and just leave everything well enough alone.

And movie producers wonder why indie movies win the acadamy awards every year....
Apple has it too, you have to go through the main trailers site to get it

was going to say the same thing but someone beat me to the punch,

I ended up ditching the phones (though I had a original 5 gig one with the supersized, make your ears bleed by sticking them in there buds.)
