If that is correct about library closings then you are correct. The only reason for copyright laws is to encourage publication of materials so that they can be available to the general public. Close down the libraries and you've removed a major reason for IP law.

Maybe if circumstances caused the gas cloud to accelerate in one direction, the heavier elements simply got left behind over time.
If that was the case you would see some spectral shifting inconsistant with the general expansion of the universe. As far as I know this is not the case. More likely is that the gas cloud comprising this galaxy was simply in a gravitationally flat region, which impeded inital collapse.
This also implies that fluidic computing will always be slower than electronics, because the fundmental speed is orders of magnitudes slower. Which doesn't mean it is useless, I'm just killing two birds with one stone here, showing why this is no threat to electronics:-)
This looks to be more useful for a fast and accurate "tricorder" device. Looking at it from a chemical point of view you can "preprogram" a whole lot of tests onto this thing and just fly. I for one (having done more than my share of chemical analysis) would love to see this device in a lab. I would save literally years of set up time.

In the mid-90s he began to develop an ego that precluded anyone else's input except as the seed on which to begin a discussion about one of RMS' favorite pet topics. I was totally convinced of this when I heard him talking informally to ESR over a conference dinner one night. He was almost in tears, he was so frustrated by ESR's unwillingness to accept his points, but every effort to explain ESR's position (by ESR or others) was brushed aside without so much as a glimmer of consideration.

People who are trusted with access to other peoples information (Bankers, Doctors, Sysadmins, Librarians,...) make a social compact not to use the information in an unauthorized manner. This sysadmin clearly showed he could not be trusted with sensitive information. Termination is the only logical response.

I recently ran a quantatative titration. The set up time was over 24 hours. The actual titration took 15 minutes.
