    Any truly random sample is statistically representative. As the sample grows larger the accuracy will increase as well.

    It's so broad it's laughable, even if you quote a movie or think about a movie you theoretically owe someone. More people would pirate if they understood the law.

    We need an institution to donate for the creation of new original content that is good art. I think a lot of pirates would donate to something that doesn't make bad artists millionaires.

    Maybe thinking about this is a bad thing.

    Might be ok if someone open sourced it so it wouldn't lead to a power imbalance but killing people with drones is pretty problematic so even then it's not a good thing.

    Think a bit Slashdot, nerds aren't for evil.

    Unless they work for Microsoft.

    Or the pay is really good.

    Or it's just too cool.

    This is a pretty impressive milestone as a failure of capitalism, I hope we feel it's full import and act accordingly.

    Techies should be solving this.

    The solution seems to be on the internet. Craigslist eliminates middlemen. Kickstarter gives cool ideas a chance. Aliexpress gives manufacturers a store with little markup.

    Probably more like 7% reduction in people who pirate. And most of those would be kids who lost their in room PCs when mommy and daddy got the notice.

    It always hits the kids who could use disruptive media to learn to think for themselves hardest.

    4GB is a ton! I've seen music videos less than 4k.

    The artists are in charge, not the designers or the programmers, or the mappers, or the character designers, or the writers. THE STUPID ARTISTS.

    I don't feel like running in 800x640 to have competitive level framerates.


    Crysis level graphics came out a while ago and were good enough.

    There's no evidence that photorealistic textures are being taken from, well photographs which would cut game production costs considerably.

    We need to get Carmak to attend to this. Everything is based off his work. Still.
