A couple of months ago "V" released a new berry flavour, in a red can, and I'm hooked on the stuff. Wish I wasn't, really - I'd rather get by without the stuff, but it does taste nice. Personally I don't notice a kick, I'm quite tolerant to caffeine, and get terrible headaches when going without any of it, be if from coffee, coke or "V".
Yes, but I'll bet you've changed your engine oil every 10,000kms. That's my point. Cars _do_ need oil changes, and Nissan's won't forgive you for neglecting that. Trust me, I own three.
Fine, I'm not an electrician or electrical engineer, so I suppose that makes me somehow inferior to you, but round our parts we measure our electricians by how seldom they get electrocuted. And we don't give a shit about what their dad does.
In addition, one particular benefit to not being electrocuted is being able to live another day. Pity they didn't teach you what "electrocution" is when you got your degree, Shakespeare.
Fucking good for you, I'm sure all those jolts make you much more of a man.
Don't think half of us don't get around that by using +1, Underrated, also making us immune from M2...
Seriously, ever since I started carefully abusing my mod points, they've lasted for days rather than all getting spent at once while doing someone elses job for them.
I only mod funny to expose people more karma burn.
Yeah, admittedly I didn't read the parent to my post properly, and as a result a few folk have chimed in to remind me stuff I already knew.
My point was: "No, getting an electric shock, no matter how 'harmless', will not teach you very much about electricity at all."
My five year old son already knows that electricity can hurt or kill, without having been on the receiving end of a jolt. It's important to learn this way, not the hard way in this case. He's aware and cautious of it. Inevitably he'll get one taking apart some camera, or from an electric fence. But he'll never fuck with the mains supply until he's trained, because he knows it can kill.
I take it that you neither have a background in electrics/electronics nor do you know any electrical engineer / technician types?
Not only are you wrong, you seem quite pretentious.
In the first instance, I misread my parent to mean "220 in the hand" rather than "across the hand". Nonetheless, my point stands, that will teach you nothing you didn't already know, and he's wrong, you'll learn much more in 30 seconds of lecture than you will from a shock on the hand - unless you are an idiot, you already knew that.
And even then, if you're careful to ground your hand, rather than your feet, and stupid enough to do the experiment, it will hurt. I take it you neither have a background in electrics/electronics nor do you know any electrical engineer / technician types? And it's called ventricular fibrillation
A nice dose of 220 through your hand will teach you more about electricity then any classroom lecture.
What a stupid thing to say. A 'nice dose' will teach me nothing I haven't already learned. I don't need to experience it first hand to know that it will harm or kill me. At first I thought you were being sarcastic, but it doesn't seem so.
Actually, it's always a good idea to sysprep on XP since if you don't you'll end up with multiple computers on the network with the same SID.
Wow, I never realised that. Obviously, neither did Microsoft. Not a week goes by you don't learn yet another staggering stupid thing that a Microsoft OS does.
Who'da thunk it? Organisations out there with two or more completely identical machines.
Replying to myself, I'm just going to change one comma to a hyphen to avoid ambiguity:
"But don't let your judgement be clouded by thinking you're loving it - and be prepared to drop that job like a hot potato the minute the cons outweigh the pros.
I'm glad you enjoy real love as much as I do, and value it simliarly.
I do, however, disagree that you "love" your job. You just seem to enjoy it as much as I do mine. I do about the same thing you do, jack of all trades pretty much. But don't let your judgement be clouded by thinking you're loving it, and be prepared to drop that job like a hot potato the minute the cons outweigh the pros.
It's different with real love. You don't weigh up costs and benefits, and unfortunatly things get very hard if you have to. At times real love seems irrational, and you can hurt yourself with it during breakups when your logical and emotional sides are at odds.
No offence intentded at all though, and please reply if you disagree. I'm glad you're happy, and wish you many years of the same.
Because they'd throttle access to it! ;-)
I hope you don't consider that a rebuttal. If you do:
They're both under the "Edit" menu, hence "Editor".
Sheesh.
Fair enough, but I'd give it up if I were you. I doesn't tend to make one very popular.
About time I tapered it off, I think.
Whoops, I mean "strongly", and YOU brought it back to seriousness.
I don't care, or feel stronly either way. I spoke in jest, and brought it back to seriousness again.

You've obviously haven't had a Nissan for any amount of time, then.
I'll bet you're lots of fun at parties!

Why? Because it's funny to me
On helluva deal...
It's probably got more to do with upsetting the viruses / virii crowd...;)
Sheesh

Install Cross-Over Office or WINE if you need to and your Windows applications work..
No more issues. Yeah, sure looks like you've tried it...

Yeah, I can see it now. People flocking en masse to fix the holes, and pay for the privilege!
