The security company that installed the access control that didn't have power backup should be taken out and shot along with whom ever signed off on the install. If the security company did install some sort of battery backup why did they not keep up the maintenance on them, the batteries have a shelf life of about 3 years.
Call a local security company that will be able to go over your options. I work for one company and we don't use any biometric devices. There are a number of different access control products that will work from low security proximity cards to high security scramble pads. Because of all of the options please give the pro's a call, we do our best to find the right product for your company.
I goes back to the days of the pilgrims. They were puritans and had really wierd ideas about some things. And sometimes they did contradictory wierdness such as sacking.
if i remember correctly it isn't a good thing to be working out (AKA body building) before roughly the age of 16 because it can damage the growth plates. If that happens the person is stuck as a short s**t for the rest of their lives.
There is no theoretically shooting over the horizon. the horizon over open water (the ocean) is about 12 miles.
Most of the guns and howitzers used by the US Navy and Army has a range of more than 13 miles. This capability has been around since at least before WW2.
In most states other than Mass, I believe, you can normally just say you were afraid for your life and stick with that. This would really work if they have an unidentifiable (sic) object in their hands when you shoot.
After doing a stint as the fashion police in the military I have learned that you are allowed to go one step above the suspect as a police/security officer (with proper training). This means that if they are yelling at you, you are allowed to put the person in an arm lock or other hold. If the person is threatening to do bodily harm and has the means to do the bodily harm you can pull your gun out and shoot the suspect dead. A deadly threat is not the issue so much as serious bodily harm. Otherwise you are correct in your post.
I'm going to step into this one. If you ever draw a gun you better be willing to use it and not to just scare the person you better kill the person you are drawing the gun on. The drawing of the gun is not a punishment either, it is for protection. Punishment is after the fact finding where the person lives and killing said person at their domicile. As for repo men I don't believe they are permitted (IANAL) to actually break into the home, and if they do they have to announce, with proof, who they are if challenged.
Teenagers breaking into homes or places of business is not a prank it is breaking and entering/trespass or whatever and if you feel threatened by their actions you should be able to draw a gun on them. And if it is your own child hopefully you know his or her habits enough to tell if it is your own.
SCO is attempting to place all of linux under a different license and by doing so the company is stealing the code of every person that has contributed code. I think more companies and individuals that have contributed code to linux should seek out relief (sue SCO into the ground) for violating section 4 of the GPL. Because SCO is violating the GPL that license is void for the company and standard copyright laws are in effect. The best part of this is that they need to get permission from every single programmer that has contributed code...
I would go on but how to complete the train of thought.
I actually like not getting out and pumping the gas. It has the added benefit of giving the high school kids a possible job after school and overall the gas prices aren't too far off of other states either.
Actually France will only give medical aide if Iraq uses any W.O.M.D. The countries told France they could f#$% themselves because of their attitudes. Yahoo and Google News had a couple of articles about the whole France thing. As for using SCUD missiles doesn't positively give evidence of using banned munitions (they do use conventional wareheads also). Personnaly I think we should use a couple of those new super bombs on all of SoDamns palaces and follow them up with some nice big FAE's. But that's me.
I try telling everybody, including my household, what's up with the RIAA but they don't care. They still will go out and get the cd's that they want to buy. It sucks, they just say oh well when I tell them that their rights are being taken away. So what can you do?
My reccomendation is Ghost in the Shell, and Dominion Tank Police. If I remember correctly the director for Akira also directed GITS. And Dominion is halarious (sic).
The poor sods in the military out on deployment. All they will get is half a day off, if they are lucky, and a crappy meal that they have to stand in line for over half an hour to get leaving them 5 minutes to eat because they only get about half an hour for chow break because they are understaffed.
I take it you were west coast, what ship? I was on the Lincoln myself. Well anyways some of the Canadian sailors I was hanging out with said that the best way to destroy the Canadian's warships was to fly over them with crop-dusters full of paint remover.
The best time for alarms has always been at 1am after some moron falls off of the flight deck.

I'm just glad I'm not doing that anymore.
