I will not file frivilous lawsuits regardless of the unfair amounts of cash I could get. I look down on those who perpetuate the deplorable state of the legal system in this country, especially the lawyers who gain the most from the abuse of this system. I will vote for change, recommend change, and work towards change for the betterment of the people. I understand that lawsuits are often the only recourse of an injustice and I support their use for these purposes. I do not support the use of lawsuits to pass my responsibilities onto others, and I accept full responsibility for my actions. I understand the inherit risks in daily life and that there are things that nobody is responsible for. I recognize that coffee is generally served hot, nobody can see around blind corners, complex medical procedures involve a certian risk, if I eat more calories than I burn I will gain weight, if I eat foods high in sugar/fat/cholesterol it is likely that I will suffer health consequences for this, if I smoke cigarettes I will increase my risk for cancer, and if I drink drano I will likely die.
I'm sorry, but nothing I've ever seen on Netcraft or anywhere supports your statement, in fact it directly contradicts it.
And, I would like an example of "integrate better with their internal MS databases and webservers"
Do you actually use any M$ based/proprietary connections/communications/protocols over the open Internet? Are you high? I'm sure *some* idiot companies are doing netbios rpc to *some* idiot web hoster, or MSSQL over the Internet, I mean I guess you're actually right, becuase all those Code Red/Nimda attacks that I get in my logs have to be coming from somewhere...
I apologize, you could be right... which would be scary to me if it meant anything more than a slightly annoying increase in traffic..
Every time I go there firefox dies almost instantly..
I've tried closing all other tabs, going in full screen and normal screen, going to http://georgebush.com or http://www.georgebush.com/ typing georgebush and hitting CTRL+ENTER and everything crashes. I have most javascript disabled in the settings...
http://www.dyndns.org/services/mywebhop/
redirect your www.whatever.com to a dyndns address on a different port
They have solutions for inbound/outbound smtp as well.
Or just be super tech and include the full path including ports on all your URLS!!!
If you type fast you really must have an Ergonomic keyboard. I type 120-140 wpm and 10 minutes on a flat keyboard and I can feel my carpals heating up. I can, and do, type fast all day long on my ergo keyboard with no negative carpal action. Also, I'm the IT guy and I buy everyone Ergo keyboard unless they want flat ones. I pay $17 for a Microsoft Natural Multimedia keyboard, and I think $4 or $7 for flat keyboards. It's personal preference, but if AFAIK people *have* sued over disabilities caused by flat keyboards.
If you're career is dependant on your ability to type aka interface with a computer, I recommend adapting, but hey you can keep using that flat dinosaur keyboard, less competition for me in 10 years.
ps, people who peck type should be forced to have a cover over their keyboard until they don't look at the keys. Or someone should be hired to watch them type and hit them with a sock filled with marbles every time they look at the keys.. oh, and eh could say "homey don't need a look at da keys!"
Alright, I'm a typical IT guy, I hate phone systems. They're always overpriced, they have problems, and programming them is intentionally cryptic to keep phone people in overpaid work.
I got a new setup, bought some Cisco 7960 SIP phones off eBay, hired an Asterisk pro to do the initial setup since I was on a tight timeline. Use nufone for inbound 800 and outbound LD ($.02/minute both ways). And I love it! Our main office is in New Jersey, we're in SLC, UT. They're just extensions on the phone system. Voicemail works, caller ID works, calls sound the same as normal phones.
We do have 6 analog lines with 2 PCI digium cards, which I would NOT do again. The line charge is more than we would ever spend in 800/local calling. I'm evaluating SIP/IAX softphones now. I think I may be free of the curse of the Nortel PBX forever!!
Costs..?
$400 built yerself Linux box with a P4/IDE hard drive.
$230 per phone on eBay ($220 for phone (incl shipping) $10 for power supply) *these phones are NICE - Cisco 7960
$1200 for Asterisk pro's time (he should charge more! shhhh)
total cost for 10 phone system that has more features and works better than any high end Nortel I've ever spend $50k on,
$4k
I'm thinking of setting this up for my house, sinc e nufone has a pay as you go $.02/minute plan.
Oh, and I just found out Asterisk automatically creates report logs in.cvs format! w00t!
Every day I find something new in Asterisk that I love.
Amazing work, I'm very impressed, my favorite is we can blame Hillary Clinton for misleading the president. He isn't too bright, and really can't be expected to discern between a speech and intelligence reports. So it was Hillary's fault he thought there were WMDs in Iraq, and that there is an Al Qaeda - Iraq link, case closed!
I think it's worth noting that NOBODY I know under 35 trusts politicians in any way shape or form.
So, my question would be
"Are you aware that a VAST majority of your constituents distrust you?"
I think most politicians think people trust them, and they're in some way respected, and I think most people distrust them, and disrespect them.
Please reply if you do in fact trust any current politicians?
" Introduction
In my possession is one (1) memory card from a digital camera. This memory card was found in a taxi in New York City. I have no idea who the owner of the camera is."
Sounds to me like he found it.
I'll forgoe the obvious and not call you the same thing you called the uptight guy who started the legal rant.
We had a new CTO join the company, he messed up just about everything he could have messed up. He demoted me, hired his buddies, and was an obvious moron.
Things got progressively worse for everyone in the company, we lost 20% of the technical staff becuase everyone was leaving as soon as possible to avoid working with this guy. Everyone left professionally, and AFAIK said nothing about the fact they were leaving becuase of this person. The CEO and CFO were completely ignorant to the fact the CTO was a complete waste of space.
When I found a new, much better, job, I gave my 2 weeks notice and didn't mention to the CTO (my boss) that he was the main reason I was leaving. I did, however, have a meeting with the CEO and the CFO and explain that my treatment at his hand was 50% of the reason I was leaving, and his negative impact on the company was the other 50%. I told them both very clearly that he was bad for the company, and there would be more people leaving, and that the other people had left for the same reason I was leaving. The CEO, who was delusional about the CTO, assured me everyone else had left for other reasons, and that the CTO was a valued member who had contributed lots to the company.
I told him thanks for employing me, and good luck with the success of the company, and I hope they do well.
Since I left the CTO has been stripped of most of his power, and most technical people have been given raises.
I feel good that my professional, polite, talks with the CEO and CFO were part of the reason my co-workers recieved better treatment.
So, if you're leaving a bad situation, make sure you tell the highest ranking people you can, in completely honest, open, and certian terms, exactly what your grievances are. Not for you, but for your co-workers.
It's important to note that most of these people involved were honest, decent people, who genuinely were unaware of the problems with the CTO
Simple sugars are much more likely to kick you out of ketosis, and if you're a real Atkins nut, then you're testing your pee with strips to see if you're in ketosis or not.
Beer and other fermented drinks have no simple carbohydrates in them, this is simply because the fermentation process is literally the digestion of these by the yeast, whose biproduct is alcohol.
The reason other carbs are still present is they are too complex for the yeasts involved to break down. Although not directly analagous to our bodies ability to break down said carbohydrates, it is a similar situation, where simple carbs, like sucrose/glucose/maltose are easily absorbed.
It's worth noting that my father is an Atkins nut, and he works closes with a cell biologist who has authored over a dozen books on human cellular biology, and most of my information is from one of them.
Also, there have been many other studies about the benefits of alcohol that have been recently published, and I think doctors should be recommending that everyone should be downing the equivelent of 2 beers a day for their health.
Who will never buy anything with the 3com name one it. I'm no fan of Cisco's overpriced junk, but 3com really brings home the title of crappiest hubs, switches, and network cards. When dell shipped 3com cards I had a pile of them on my desk, we're talking failure rates over 80% from brand new in less than a month. And I've had 3 3com switches, all had more than 50% of the ports dead.. There's little to no chance they can redeem their brand from me.
I'd pay more for an unknown brand because at least I have a chance at it working.
screw both the main party candidates, Badnarik and libertarianism are ideals for government..
I AM voting for Badnarik Nov 2.
don't tell the man
And getting access through your IIS server to the CLI hasn't ever been very hard for them..
At least that's what I hear.. since I wouldn't know so don't ask, no I did NOT format your hard drive.

Am I the only one that's scared of marionettes, claymation and midgets?
and crack dealers had to go through the one Microsoft goes through..
Didn't Dave Chapelle already cover this issue?
yes.. laughs..

fine i'm done..
there's no such thing!

I don't know the current conversion from American DOLLARS to Canadian PESOS, so Canadian it's probably $17/bottle..
(joke above people, I was in Canada a month ago)
