dude, server side filters are the way to go. I have an attbi account with Brightmail on the server side, and I've never seen more than 10 spams in my mailbox throughought my whole 3 years of using it.
LOL, you gave me a good laugh with those two posts, more than all the wannabe comedians that always seem to get first post.
I seriously wish the two tech experts that I work with at my school would be more open-minded and try Linux. They laughed at me when I told them that Microsoft will go out of business.
Could anybody really use the name Xerox like that just because of people call a device by the company name? That seems wrong. How can this be legal? Can anyone reassure me or prove it?
Heh, I got one of those on my motherboard too, and about all 5 of my friends (lol) bought the same exact board after I did. I think it's cool and you can turn it off if you don't want it. But I think the bigger point is BIOS should stick to what a Bios is: a BASIC input output system! BASIC! I would shoot Bill Gates if my BIOS ever froze up.
I know he has nothing to do with it and that wouldn't be his fault, but he has it coming =)
It is bad, but filtering and censoring is not the answer. Go after the individual or the site itself. If it is not doing anything illegal, then leave it be. They are right about the slippery slope. I wonder why PennsylChina, err, Pennsylvania decided that. What's it like there? Do they have more Mormons than Utah or something?
heh, I have the same view exactly. If you are using AOL to begin with, then you obviously do not know anything about ISPs or care about how it performs. It's like somebody saying that the reason they use IE is because of the excellent security it provides.
I don't get the same support. I'd love to set up WINE and play games in Linux, but right now, my 550 P3 is too slow as it is to run UT2003 at above 25 fps. How do you think my luck would be emulating it, with a slightly bloated KDE3 (which I absolutely love =)) Not only that, but for some reason I can't get the same driver support that I get in Windows which for my GeForce 3 Ti 200 (128MB). I played the Linux and Windows versions of Armagetron. In windows 60fps, Linux 3fps. I hate Windows. Make gaming a real possibility on Linux, make games for Linux period, and gimme a week for my new computer to be built, and I'll be there. Until then, I have to use Windows.
Is anyone personally willing to help me out with getting stuff set up? That's what I thought.
Dell's removing all the floppies from their systems because they can only put defective floppies in their Dell Dimension line! Who else has been a victim of a floppy shipped with a Dell machine that wouldn't read/write floppies correctly? I think they should keep the floppy. I still have a Sony Mavica digital camera that uses floppy diskettes as storage! It's still an awesome camera.
For the record, I make my Mom, Dad, and sister use Mandrake Linux 9 on a 233 that had Win98 on it. KDE3 is a lot slower than 98, but at least it's not owned by Microsoft and they won't infect the network with another worm. A lot of things aren't working too; the sound card, scanner, a DOS program (DOSEMU).
Nasa and the U.S. government will fake the manned mission to Mars just like they did with the manned Apollo missions. You know why 10 years sound unrealistic? Because it is, and Prometheus won't be real either, another conspiracy. At least I'll be alive for this one, (Check my bio, born in '85)
Graphiti totally sucked. I used it and liked it on my Palm m100. I too upgraded to a Compaq Ipaq (3765) and rarely use graphiti. The only reason I would is to walk down memory lane and laugh at how inefficient it is. The keyboard isn't as fun, but it is the quickest and won't scratch the screen.
I wonder if it will support it also. It'd be nice to support as much as possible.
Yes, they have put Linux on Pocket PCs, but Microsoft only makes the OS that goes on them, HP and Toshiba and other companies make the hardware. I was thinking about trying it on my Ipaq.

ditto, lol
It's true, it was all faked.
You mean like this? LMAO!!! I couldn't resist!

Sorry for straying off topic.
Ogg Vorbis is not making the player more expensive, it's very high-end! I kind of like the Neuros. Go OGG go!

Everyone's a comedian...

Let's not go there again... We all know that that's a lie and Macs suck.

I thought the same exact thought as soon as I read the headline. Right on.
