Sigh. So many things wrong there.
You can compile the kernel for IPv6 only. That is different then removing the code. What do you gain? Space. Fewer backdoors. Less bandwidth needed to push updates (but that ignores the overhead of 6 vs. 4).
Basically, there are many reasons to want to be 6 only, however, all are for specialized devices. Well, it happens that BSD is useful for just that.

Now, as to the electric car, in America, there are no places in the 48 that are 100% coal. The reason is that electricity moves all around. 3 different grids (west, texas, and east). Think water where multiple companies store water in a single place. As such, you get the %'s. Right now, that means that you get about 44% coal (dropping), 25% NG (rising), 20% nuke, with the rest being Alternative Energy (hydro, wind, solar, geo-thermal, etc and rising). Not only is that cleaner, but is nearly 100% not imported. It is also resistant to the massive price changes that oil is going through and about to get worse.

So, like the example that you used, electric cars are superior to gas/diesel in most situations (drive lots of long distances and fossil fuel wins) in just about every way.

And who said that we are going to bomb office buildings. Bombing bases is not the same thing as bombing downtown UNLESS their military is hiding amongst the population.

And PER THE NUCLEAR TREATY THAT THEY SIGNED, they are required to open all of their nuclear facilities for all of us to see that it was civilian. Yet, they refuse that, which is why the UN says that there is enough evidence to show that they are making bombs and not just civilian. Hell, the fact that they said that centerfuges were purely about nuclear power and then suddenly claimed that it is about nuclear medicine should be MORE than enough to convince a rational person that Iran is full of shit.

And yes, we do that. In addition, USSR and now Russia DO see the inside of our military nuclear facilities as well. ALL PER THE NUCLEAR TREATY.

So, your points are total BS.

Well, I somewhat agree. For example, you will find in a number of my posts that I believe that we mishandled the auto and banking companies.

We should have broken apart GM and Chrysler. Instead, we made GM shed a few brands, but they are still ran by some of the worst MBA's going. Look at the volt. It was supposed to be a serial hybrid. It was converted to parallel hybrid, even though it added complexities, costs more and blocks them from becoming an EV car easily. Why? Fucking Bean Counters. Had broken these companies up they would have a large number of management of different types. Ultimately, the chance of one or two being ran by a musk type person jumps way up.

The failing large banks should have been broken apart as well, all upper management charged and then things moved on.

America's problem is that we have an oligolopy ran by finanicial MBAs that look at short term solutions ONLY. It is killing us. That is in part why China is doing better. They have many many small companies. They also have monopolies, but it is limited area. And those are where they belong: Utiliies; banking; energy. Basically, the backbone of any capitalistic society.

That is kind of what happened. Back in the 60's, we DID give loads of food for disaster areas. And it was the right thing to do. The problem is, that we kept doing it. As such, we put the local farmers out of business. They can not compete against free. THen we slowed down the aid, but the farmers are gone. That is why I keep saying that a better model is to help these ppl establish businesess and farms and schools and roads, etc. If these locals can actually be made to help themslves, then they are better for it.

Oddly, it is similar to what we see in unemployment. O was wise to bump up unemployment. However, he should provide incentives to start companies while at the same time start cutting back on unemployment. The best solution would be to drop unemployment 10% each extension.

Skip all of the big guys. At the same time, focus on helping them with food. Yes, food aid will have to continue for sometime, BUT, as small businesses pop up, LOCAL farmers should be able to take over food production.

Oddly, where africa is today, is the same direction that America is headed. Sad. We need to turn Africa and ourselves around. Move from large monopolies and esp. large outsider monopolies and move to competitive markets.
