    We see this same sort of thing every year at this time. The first year it was all cool because it could be pointed out that the RIAA is full of shit on P2P file sharing of music. The second year just reinforced it. But at this point isn't it sort of redundant? Their sales grow every year, wh00h00!

    Why should we hope for good PR for micros~1 from a smokescreen they're using to hide a complete contempt for their users' security? They're taking the hard hits because they deserve it, and much more. This is just another example of micros~1 trying to treat the symptoms rather than the cause long enough to outrun the bad press.

    Our current system is actually corporatism (aka fascism) and not really capitalist at all anymore. Some form of democratic capitalism with a healthy dose of concern for social well-being is what we really need.

    Actually, isn't communism more an economic system. The "communist" governments are just the ones who implement and enforce that economic system.

    Also, don't forget that Hitler killed millions of people and he was fascistic (state+corporate) like we are in America. See his marching orders for slave labour from VW for reference.

    And how many 12-year-olds do you know who aren't immune from prosecution because they have anything of enough value to take? So I don't see how they're going to get the expenses paid beyond a few grand they might be able to wring out of the parents. There is definitely no way they'll do anything but blow their record-setting profits on a bunch of worthless law suits.

    Come back and talk to me when you have multiple desktops without paying for third party software or even having to install any. Also when you have window shade, easy drop to back, and sloppy focus with auto-raise. While all that jazz you can do with the F9 and F10 keys is cute, it's not nearly as useful.

    The OSX interface is clunky with multiple applications at best.

    I'm just saying if you want games and wide selection of software and don't care about stability or security, Windows has more of the first two and less of the second two than a Mac. And if you don't care about the first two and do care about the second two then Linux is cheaper and offers more choices (such as a GUI that I don't hate) than a Mac.

    And why would I want to ruin my beautiful Linux with Halo. That game blows.

    Copyright doesn't give anyone a right to sell a defective product. The notice is required for the selling of defective products, not for the copyright which under the word of the law should still not be applicable to corporations despite 100 years of improper interpretation of a non-decision on the matter of corporate personhood.
