It's a prototype, come on. Yes, he's only taking small steps and the floors are having trouble keeping up, but that's probably the speed of the floors. Faster floors = faster walking. This is an amazing prototype that could become an even cooler product.
Screw that, my watch is within a second or so (my personal one is always a second fast, my friend's isn't) of the correct time and it can recieve alphanumeric pages! Of course, it has an email gateway, so I can use procmail on my primary address and...
Now I'll have to wear two watches! I mean, how could any body survive without a Timex Internet Messenger. Oh well, I guess it doesn't look too nerdy to wear two watches, right?
Hey! I could have two timers then! Or 6 alarms! Or 4 timezones! The possibilities are endless.
Okay, cool. I think these new music stores are a good idea. But wait, the music comes in encrypted wma format! Is there any linux app that can play that, or are we still stuck with windows for playing legal music?
I used to get something like 1Mbps on my SBC DSL line. A few months ago, that suddenly dropped to a max of 320Kbps. They say they guarantee 384 at least, but even their own bandwidth meter measures me below that! I emailed them asking what's going on, and have gotten absolutely no response. This isn't exactly my ISP asking me to reduce my bandwidth usage, they're actually restricting me below even what they guarantee.
Um, the reason is that I'm tracking with my desktop box. I will shut down at some point, thus killing the torrent. I'll try to find another tracker before then though.
Before the site got too bogged down, I was able to grab a copy of the bbs discussion and the photos of the hack and put it in a torrent. My tracker is at http://209.233.28.4:6969/. I won't be up for long, but hopefully long enough.
Okay, cool. Now, when do we get this in Silicon Valley? Is our great new governor Arnie going to do this for us? Or are we going to have to wait for Comcast to go ahead and do what they're threatening to do.
That's more of a Bluetooth application. There has been a Bluetooth memory stick around for a while. I agree completely with what you want, I just think there's a better technology for this.
Fortunately, Athena America (previously EruWare) had made a CF memory driver. Now, despite Sony's annoying attempt to cripple their CF slot, you can use CF memory cards!
I think the reasons that the ISPs screw you on the extra IPs are because they can, and, if you want more than one IP, you're probably somebody who wants more resources so it's going to cost them more.
So, let's assume that a bunch of us are going to move away from RedHat. What distro are we going to switch to? I know Fedora is an option, but I'm kinda pissed at RedHat in general. Debian is pretty cool, but it's sure not as slick as RedHat. I've been eyeing Gentoo, but I don't trust them to be around long enough to invest the time to put them on my server. What are your suggestions?
Set up a substation to convert the lightning into power!
You do realize that most hybrids (my Prius included) use NiMH batteries?

Hey, can I volunteer my mouse? I sure hope it's not a one-way trip...

Sorry, but I had to take the tracker down. Catch y'all later.

All right! Now, how long till Caltrain (Bay Area commuter rail) gets this?

Um, it's not a sony product. Thus, there's no DRM crap. This is a 3rd party trying to circumvent Sony's stranglehold on which CLIEs have WiFi.
