Is there even a market for movies pirated using a Google glass? Seems like it would be one of the most shaky, poor quality videos in existence. I've seen some actual "cam" movies before and even those were very difficult to watch. I'm thinking the only loss in profits they're going to be seeing from Google glass users is that a lot of them will no longer come to see movies in theaters
It's well known that cheap android phones have always been bad, and will always be bad. If you want a cheap, reliable phone, Nokia is more than willing to sell you one of its lower end Lumias. And if you want to have a contract, you can even get a high quality iPhone for "free". Why waste time with bottom of the barrel junk?
I do. I work for a small company and we write all of our tablet apps in JavaScript and wrap them in Cordova. It lets us deploy on iOS, Android, and Windows all at once with minimal effort and cost, which is great for a small dev team. It even makes testing a breeze because I can write all of my functional tests in CasperJS and be reasonably sure that everything is working right prior to handing things off to the test team. Much easier than messing with some junk software like Appium and and writing tests for each mobile platform individually
From doing some kind of opt-in peering arrangement, where movies were cached locally for a while after being watched on some devices with the storage capability to do so? While they're cached, they can help stream to peers on the same network along with Netflix's servers, in some type of arrangement similar to bittorrent. That way ISPs could degrade Netflix however they wanted but end user performance would still be acceptable in some cases.
In 2016, Nokia can re-enter the cell phone market under its own name. This may mean them going back into designing their own phones, or purchasing Jolla, the spin-off company run by former Nokia engineers. Jolla has already put a very nice looking low-end cell phone on the market, and I expect them to continue to build out their smart phone portfolio in the near future. I can definitely see them once again becoming a part of Nokia in 2016. I don't think Nokia would be content to remain a patent-only business. Also, keep in mind, they are retaining their very lucrative mapping business as well.
That most phones that are "in the wild" will probably never receive this patch unless they are current flagship devices. That said, do not download things from untrusted sources! That goes for not only smart phones, but computers as well!
Keep in mind the Apple screens are smaller than all of the devices with supposed HD screens, and thus still have very competitive pixel densities. This is especially true when you look into the fact that pentile displays used on many devices do not accurately represent their supposed pixel densities with their RGBG subpixel scheme.
Okay, so now we know that the drivers themselves are faster at rendering OpenGL content, but are they accurate? I know that, in the past, both AMD and nVidia have resorted to not quite properly rendering things to get their cards to perform better in benchmarks, does anyone know if any of that is going on here?
We are turning into a nanny state, and we need to put a stop to it. There are no reasonable arguments for spying on people with 30,000 drones.
To combat such measures against American citizens, we need to start developing plans to take these things out of the sky. Perhaps we can do this by interfering with their radios, causing them to crash, shooting rockets at them, shooting at them with conventional firearms (while wearing a mask of course), or chasing them down with other drones and ramming into them. We need to be able to easily, cheaply, and effectively stop them. Of course, and I think it goes without saying, I'm NOT advocating that people actually do any of these things, but we still need to discover the best way to do it before it's too late.
I hope this doesn't take off. I feel much better about letting companies like Google or Apple handle my money for transactions within apps, than horrible companies like PayPal. Here's a good resource for information about how PayPal treats its customers:
