Yes but it only works as root. I know there is a way to install a wrapper that fixes this, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it. The documentation just isn't there - which is fine, it's still a beta product, after all - but nevertheless, it doesn't work (yet).

I personally run VMware because some of my college courses require it - that is, they require Windows. I'm in an ARM assembly language class, where we use an ARM emulator (which runs only in Windows) and also an x86 assembly language class, where we have to use Turbo Assembler - pure DOS. So VMware does actually have some use, and it's quite an amazing program.

On the TV show "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer," the town of Sunnydale is supposedly located on a Hellmouth, an intense concentration of demonic energy. One of the original focuses of the show (in addition to the vampire slaying) was the difficulty of getting through high school. Joss Whedon, the show's creator, has often said that many of the experiences the show's characters have gone through mirror his own high school experiences.

You're missing the point. This story has nothing to do with Columbine, really. It has everything to do with the aftermath of Columbine, i.e., harrassment of anyone who was 'different' by their teachers and peers. It's a real issue, and one that will never go away if their message isn't heard.

I think that Browne was deliberately tight-lipped on the electoral system issue because the Libertarian Party is preparing to mount a tremendous legal battle to dismantle the FEC and the CPD! According to a LibertyWire mailing I received today, they've hired Herbert Titus and William Olson along with a team of other attorneys in order to challenge the Supreme Court decision that allowed these entities to become legal when they are, in fact, unconstitutional. You're forgetting that Slashdot is, and has always been, news about what CmdrTaco is interested in. That's all. I'm happy when some new program I want is in Debian's apt repository; I suppose it's a feeling only Debian users really understand. Obviously CmdrTaco feels the same way, or he wouldn't mention it so often. It's gratuitous, but so is most of Slashdot. I'd hardly call it "blatant and deliberate advertising" since he's not on Debian's (non-existent) payroll. He's just mentioning something that he finds to be cool. That's all.
