gunt may be referenced in Wiktionary, but that's pretty much the only reference. Being as how it hasn't really entered the public consciousness, and it's really a word used for anything useful, I'd say that's the reason it's not on Wikipedia, whereas other "objectionable" concepts and words are.
But you're an idiot and a troll... sorry to feed you, nearly lost a hand there. I'll do better next time.
Wait... so, threatening to kill people over pictures is the EXACT SAME as threatening to kill people over what you perceive as murder actually happening?
What color is the sky in your world? Black? Or white?
Yeah... I'm always amazed that people want to destabilize America. Because, you know, we have a lot of fucking nukes, as well as a LOT of other death-dealing apparatus. Start fracturing the US, and you stop having a relatively stable control over where those things fly. Doesn't seem like a good idea to give fundamentalists of any kind an opportunity to seize those.
If they're offensive to SOME Muslims (not all Muslims are offended, mind you), they can block the images themselves. It's quite easy to do any more. I am offended that you think for some reason most of the west should change what it's doing simply because a small number of people are offended.
There's sensitivity, and then there's allowing yourself to be run over with trying to please to everyone. No one's forcing you to look. If you don't like it, DON'T LOOK AT IT.
My "belief" that a god doesn't exist has the same basis as my "belief" that gravity does exist. Observed, empirical evidence. You can't say the same about your belief in god.
The Crusades were in response to a Muslim military advance. Try your history again. The Inquisition, that was pretty bad, but it wasn't to the point of completely random mass killings, or even killing of people who agreed with them in religion(!).
The western White Man isn't the cause of all evil in the world, no matter how much you want it to be so.
I can still communicate with a young child, but they're still irrational. They have no logic or reasoning to base their decisions on, which puts them in the same camp as people who make decisions because some book or religious leader told them that's what they should do.
The solution to that is to allow more hunting, not to make them more visible. We've gotten rid of most of the deer's natural predators... they're overpopulating and thus having more instances of contact with cars. Genetic altering would be horribly expensive, wouldn't affect the entire population for generations, if ever, not to mention that it'd seriously discourage hunting, which is one of the only ways that deer populations are partially controlled as it is.
That, and teach people to drive. I've had deer jump out in front of my car after dark, as well as having slowed down since I saw them a ways off. They aren't impossible to avoid if you just use your brains and your eyes, don't drive fast where you can't see, etc.
They're 2" long. If you taste it, you're doing it wrong. They aren't big enough to meaningfully get any taste from. You'd have to fillet something like 10 of them to get single bite.
You haven't done much end-user support, have you? People still install Bonzi Buddy, etc. because they want a furry, cute "friend" or whatever screensavers they can find, and click yes to every prompt because they know that way things will work.
The Internet isn't much safer, the users are just as clueless, and water is still wet. The only thing that's improved is defense against automated attacks, which while a very good thing, is still just the tortilla on the enchilada.
The reason they use jet fuel instead of gasoline is just because of that. At cold temperatures, gas starts getting more viscous. Jet fuel needs to get MUCH colder to start getting thick and hard to use. They probably only run the generator when necessary.
I've got both. It's about the size of two slim PS2's stacked together. But I'll bet a lot of it is because of the slot loading drive that takes both Gamecube and Wii games.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but there have alwaysbeencrappygames. It's just that we forget the bad ones, remember the good ones, and move on. The past is never as rosy as you'd like to think it was;) That's as true for cars, kids respecting elders and writing skills as it is with video games.
Have fun. If you have your original or Atomic Edition disc, or can find a copy, I can guarantee you that it works perfectly fine running natively under XP (Duke3D plays decently on a X300 mobile at 1400x1050, it plays good at 1024x768).
I think it seems just about right. If you haven't profited in 14 years, then you're doing it wrong.
Copyright isn't there to create a gravy train. It's there to encourage the useful arts and benefit the country as a whole, not just the original content creators of things that become popular.
Just an FYI, NVidia's latest Quadro drivers (169.61) now work with almost any NVidia card. With a tweaked INF and SP3, I'm getting between 7% and 16% 3DMark score improvements with my GeForce 7600GT mobile as compared to SP2 with the original drivers, and about a 3% increase in framerate over the last WHQL driver release (163.something I believe).
5 years ago, the state of graphics was much less advanced. Remember when Finding Nemo was the top flick? Things have seriously progressed with new films like Ratatouille. The models are more complex every year, newer automated tools, etc. They got their work done, but the work was less complex mostly due to hardware limitations. There's never enough hardware;)
How is that a problem? You hibernate, and you still need a password to get back into Windows, right? If they reboot or try to boot it from a LiveCD, you're safe since the data's encrypted. Mounting through TrueCrypt isn't a magic "decrypt everything on the drive" switch, it just allows decryption through the running OS. Perhaps you're the one who needs a bit of a review on computer security.
As for USB drives, I haven't ever had that issue, but I could see it happen if a bit physically goes bad where it tests the password for validity. But I haven't ever seen that happen. To each his own... I'd trust TrueCrypt more than any other encryption, and it's better than no encryption if you want to keep things safe. Not to mention, why don't you do backups? You can back up the encrypted file/drive periodically and still access it through the password, and it's safe while encrypted. Any reason you weren't doing that?
I'm getting way too little lag chatting with my buddy for it to be bouncing off a satellite... they've got to have some kind of terrestrial links still. Not to mention he's just got a home connection, nothing like ISP level connectivity.

There, fixed that for you.

Jesus blew goats, had his own kids, and was just a drunk, not a prophet.
Who's up in arms?

Not to mention that zebrafish have a completely mapped genome, which also makes it a much better candidate for a lot of studies.
That's not actually a picture of the fish with the tumor... those are just the internal organs of the fish.

At least you aren't in the basement... that'd be really sad

Ummm.... they have. It's Duke Nukem 3D for modern computers. Just an upgraded engine, not a new game.
