Accomplished? You mean declaring trade treaties secret as a "national security" issue, pushing health care reform with no clear plan or communication about how it'll work economically, making sure that the previous administration's power grab stays grabbed, keeping Gitmo open... what exactly has he accomplished that has been good for the average citizen of the US or the world?

There are a couple billion people using the Internet. Following the money on every nickel and dime isn't feasible. Hell... the police rarely catch pickpockets as it is. Why would online crime be any different? Most people will be too ashamed to admit they got fleeced, and then advertisers really don't have a perfect picture of who is displaying their ads all the time.

Unicode is fun... you can register a domain name with characters so it looks a hell of a lot like ebay.com, but it's not.

The takeaway here is that if you get an email from your bank or some other place like that, open your web browser and type in the address. Don't click on the links. Ever. If they're competent, you will get the same messages logging in as you did in your email.

What would Evolution add technologically to the game? Medicine, refrigeration, nuclear power, physics... all of those things have changed how we interact with the world. Evolution really only changes how we understand the world. It would give you no units, abilities or anything I can think of in the game world... why add it in? The only thing I can think of is possibly making the Origin of Species a wonder that you could create, but that's not on the scale of all the other wonders in the game. I mean, they do pay homage to Darwin by including a quote from him. Isn't that enough?

The problem is that the FBI has a track record of sticking it's nose into matters that shouldn't concern it. Even more so with the PATRIOT act. National Security Letters, anyone? The initial reaction to distrust anything the FBI does is entirely of their own making. If someone kicks random people in the balls, would you just stand there next time you saw them? Or would you cover your junk?

That is not their value. That is their price. Very different concepts. In a free society, they have much value, but shouldn't have a price. It's information every citizen should have access to.
