No... the SEC required these firms to change their name a few years after they were spun off. I spent time with KPMG Consulting through their transition to Bearing Point.
You never played Guild Wars, I guess? I used to play UO then EQ (months/years each) then dropped MMO all together for a while. Eventually I picked up GW about a year ago and I find it is a great balance of cost/benefit. You can jump in and play for 30mins and have a good time, or you can play longer and have a better time. Check it out some time.
You must not watch the show... Otherwise you'd know that almost anything can be done in a single show, but the time varies according to the following algorithm:
(Time to complete a given project) = (Total time of show [60mins]) - (time elapsed in this episode + 1 minute)
Thus, all projects will complete by the end of a given episode, but just barely, and the results of the project will be seen as next week's preview...
As an example, if they started transcoding the DVDs at 1:05AM, then it would complete at 1:59AM, resulting in 54mins total processing time.
If the same process was started at 1:41AM, it would complete at 1:59AM, and the total processing time would be 18mins.
For reasons of efficiency, they should wait until 1:58AM or so to begin the transcoding. But don't delay or you will run into next week, and it will take the entire 60mins!!
In general, people don't know they can change it or they are not technical enough to do it, so they (the Wireless ISP) can charge after the first hour for 99% of the population. But you can be in the 1%...:D
You can find similar instructions for OS X online as well, I'm sure.
Now you might ask, how to automate this on an hourly basis? In linux it would be simple with a cron job. In Windows uhh no clue, but there might be a way.
Combine that with a cron script to disconnect from wlan, "roll" your MAC address one number every 55 minutes, and reconnect to wlan and you've got a nice free wlan system.:D
I'm assuming you mean "one hour per day" so you would only need to change the MAC 24 times a day. 00:DE:AD:BE:EF:00,:01,:02,:03, etc...
Sveasoft is the big bad "beta for life as an end run around GPL" firmware for Wireless-G routers provider. They claim their final version will be free for the public including sources, but in the meantime, they continue to release binary builds to their customers who have paid $20 to get the beta releases... no that's not right since the GPL forbids it... so its $20 for support which happens to include free access to the betas, yea that's what we'll tell them...
You probably need to search google for the difference between a bit and a byte.
I have achieved over 300 KB/sec (KiloBytes per second) downloads on my 3 Mbit (Megabits per second) DSL connection. For all intents due to TCP overhead etc, this is about the max I can download. I'm sure you are in the same boat and just don't know it.
How does no firewall == this Comcast box will be able to detect your extra machines?? I have a good general understanding of networks & firewalls, and I don't see your point.
The $20 Netgear bundle I linked to in a child post includes a firewall, so you can take the tin foil hat off without spending extra money...
I know there is a plugin for Winamp (v2 at least) that you can load and it lets you remote control someone else's Winamp player. Arguably you could use this plus Shoutcast to achieve the desired effect.
Winamp "server" with RC plugin plus Shoutcast plugin -> Shoutcast server streaming music -> Internet -> Winamp "client" with RC plugin controlling the music on the "server"
I used this RC plugin to mess with friends in college.:) Eventually they would figure it out but it was fun for a while...
Call your CC and give them the PO Box/friend/hotel mailing address as an acceptable alternate shipping location. I've done this numerous times and probably have 10 addresses on my Amex.

Here is the instructions for Linux:

And since you probably use Windows:

I'm amazed. What has happened to /.?

But I am going to have to call your bluff on "hundreds of millions of dollars". I just don't think thats a reasonable estimate at all.
Great pic. You win biggest time geek award. :)

Given the troubles you're having and the frequent disconnects, I'd suspect something else on the 2.4ghz frequency is causing intereference.
Lucky for you, 802.11a gear is very cheap (tons of surplus available inexpensively online) and operates in the 5ghz band.
Buy two 802.11a bridges from some place that has a good return policy and see if it doesn't work for you.
Soldering is fun. I modded my Xbox. Now where is my Bluetooth adapter...
Thanks for the great post.
Just signed up for an account on GMX.net. And I've suggested it to a couple friends who don't have GMail yet. VERY nice.
Great, so when he breaks it he will be lost, unable to wake up on time, and forced to memorize his trip stories.
I'd get 2 if they're that cheap, just in case!
no offense but i have to assume you are wrong due to the way it is listed on compusa.com website
print out that webpage and save it for disuputing with your credit card when 2 out of 4 rebates are denied, no big deal really.

You're an idiot... I'm sorry, I just can't respect someone who says "mommaboard" and "kicking butt".

Wow that's hard.
Why apply this solely to acts committed on the Internet??
Assume X is illegal in country Y.
While in country Z, I do X.
Now suddenly country Y can demand that I am extradited to their country for a trial??
This is clearly not correct. What's the difference between an act committed on the net vs any other act?
That's my opinion, no way should the US stomp over AU rules, makes no sense, where does the madness end?
