    If you have downloaded the Firefox 1.0.1 update, you have nothing to worry about. The Mozilla 1.7.6 and Thunderbird 1.0.1 released should be out this week as well.

    Has the automatic update kicked in yet?

    I ask because when they released 1.0.1 the updater was postponed for a week to prevent the servers from overloading.

    I'm still waiting for the 1st person Office system.
    Sending an email in this system requires you to walk through to the recipients desk.
    If you get fragged along the way, the mail doesn't get delivered.
    Shooting your boss is fun, but unfortunately leads to being ejected from the server.

    Nahhhhh.
    People pay hundreds of dollars for additional graphics processing units for their machines at present.

    If there are real world advantages to installing additional cpu's then people would do it almost regardless of cost.
    However at present for home users nothing screams out at me. Upgrades come from a perceived need, whether that comes from half-life 2, or Winblows foghorn is irrelevant. It just isn't here yet.

    If its cheap your after, I've got a tray of 386s out the back.
    Intel says they are state of the art, and they have won numerous awards for advancing technology.
    I'll let you have the lot for a dollar a piece.

    It capitalises on both distinct names and continues building upwards.

    the fact they registered the gbrowser domain however seems to indicate they will do something else.

    I like having a glance at the news and sport and other stuff.

    Firefox has a handy google box for my searching needs :)

    I would personally think if they took a fork and created the gBrowser line, then it would negate all the good hard work that has gone into Firefox.

    Brand recognition is key, and Firefox is certainly better known than gBrowser.

    Look at the blank expression on peoples faces when you say "do you have gmail?"

    Most regular users have to be told "its googles email service, yes its like hotmail, only better..."

    Firefox is firefox in my eyes :)

    I'm starting to get the impression that the editors inbox is so overflowing with crap, or their mail client is just so shite its unbelievable.

    The amount of people like yourself who HAVE attempted to get things fixed is remarkable, I wonder if theres anyone that HAS managed to get a story modified/cancelled before it hits the front page?

    They are saying (I think) that you can't use your current AGP mobo for proper SLI work, and the hard to find gfx cards being expensive and rare are just because PCIe is still not fully up to speed.

    Its will have been the same situation when everyone moved from pci to agp for their graphics.

    Travelling on a bus/coach/train/aircraft as a passenger is a lot different to driving the vehicle yourself.

    In this country, I believe it is mandatory to resit your driving test every 3 years beyond a certain age. They must also pass a medical check.
    If your country has a system whereby blind people are behind the wheel, then I will make sure I never go over there.

    The troops are restless so to speak.

    Either that, or they are sorting out a dupe lottery. Prizes given to the person who re-submits stories onto the front page.

    My favorite quote from the article is the following:

    country after showing a boarding pass and one form of government-issued photo ID and arrived in rental cars that required a valid driver's license and one major credit card.

    Everything else I agree with, but if somebody does not have a license, they should not be entitled to drive.
    The license is a test of worthyness, I don't care WHO they are, just that they have proven experience handling a deadly weapon.

    It says in one of the articles that most of the money will be returned.

    If we the public pay for this, then isn't it possible that we get to decide how its distributed?
    I WANT to give them my money to continue making shows I enjoy watching.
    I want to give the money directly to the people who matter.
    I don't want to pay for 12 different channels just to watch one show.

    I want value for my money.

    Appeasing the lawyers and negotiators in the meetings.

    Govt OSS Advocate says "But OSS software is better because everyone can see and review the source code".

    MS says: "You can see ours as well".

    Its certainly answering some of the critisms against closed source, but its still 100% missing the point of OSS.
