    I think this is supposed to be for people who are too ignorant or too lazy to set up their own servers. If you want to be lazy it is going to cost you .

    Actually, I think it helps. Even if it is ignored by the decision makers, they still know that someone went to the trouble of doing this. They must realize that there is an interest there.

    The only thing that will help in your situation is Job Security. If you don't have that, nothing else will help. Nobody is going to be gung ho if they don't know if they are going to be there tomorrow. Of course you could try the dot com way and hand out worthless stock options like they were toilet paper.

    Well in my day we didn't have any new fangled hard drives, we had to make do with our 5 1/4" 720K floppy drives... and we were dang glad to have that. We were so poor we had to eat dirt.

    Speaking of the CPU ID. Have you noticed that the newer BIOS's don't have the option to disable that anymore ?
