I hate to respond to AC Flamebates, but this is important.
Anonymity is important.
Who would think that they had a right to vote if they thought that they might lose their job based on who they voted for ?
Who would think they had a right to vote for whomever they wanted if they thought there was a chance that their life, or the the life of their friends and family, could be in danger if someone knew who they voted for ?
If you don't think it is important, you obviously haven't thought about it.
I would take 6 months in jail and a $50 payment for a $40,000 interest free loan.
If you would trade 6 months of your life for a loan of $40,000.00 your not making enough money.
Even if you could only make half that much, you wouldn't lose your freedom.
Doesn't seem like a fair trade to me.
True, but it will stop them from doing it after the law is passed. They will not be able to be procecuted for doing it while it wasn't aginst the law. That means that they will not be able to continue.
Only a cad and scoundrel would claim that your wife is not hurt by your lying, even if the damage is not immediately apparent. The damage might only be between you and her, and no one else's business, but it is damage and it is there.
What would be the purpose of telling her ?
She would be hurt by the knowledge, not by the lack of knowledge.
I must be a CAD or a scoundrel (*gasp*). The hurt would come after the telling. I think your confusing the confession with the crime.
The affair would be the wrong thing to do, but not telling about it wouldn't compound the crime.
Not a good analogy.
Looks like Google will be sueing Microsoft for anti-competive practices in the near future.
Maybe they shouldn't have give all that cash to the shareholders so soon.

I don't know about you, but it has been a long time since I've seen a dial on a phone.
It might not be obvious, but even telecommunications has changed a lot in the last 10 years.
It is surprising. Intel surely would realize that whatever controls they put on there would eventually be bypassed. Sounds like a marketing decision rather than an engineering decision.

The planet doesn't need to be saved. The life on this planet however.....
I think those robot wars TV shows were based on this....

Do you know how to save a drowning lawyer?
Take your foot off his head.
So, he is saying that if you didn't "get" it, he wants to try to sell you harder...

Or as Beretta would say...
"If ya can't do the time, don't do the crime."
Thank you. This is the only URL I have for the site. I thought it would look suspicious if I put it behind a link....
I like this one a lot.
