While I appreciate that many people like the look and feel of Thinkpads, I admit that I find it to be very.....retro looking. It looks like something out of the 90's. Monotone with faded colour highlights, sharp hard angular edges, and a low resolution screen ( 900 vertical pixels? for a high-end laptop? really? )

Not to mention that nipple pointer thingy. meh.

This is very disturbing. Not your comment, but the fact that enough people wasted their modpoints to get your post to +5 Funny.

Now sit back and take a long hard look at this.... after a while the only thought left is... "why?"

It doesnt even come close to barely scratching the broad definition of "Funny". It *may* have been funny many years ago when the Austin Powers movies were in cinemas, but it ceased to be funny soon afterwards.

Are there actually people out there who genuinely find that comment funny? If so we should be concerned, deeply disturbed and frankly, quite scared.

What is wrong with us? Does humanity have no real hope left?

There is no difference in the end, the same privacy issues would arise, I dont see your point. Human or computer, it is still just as creepy and concerning.

But computers/cameras can do it way better, faster, more accurately, cheaper, require less maintenance, are smaller, less obvious, require less effort to create the system, can provide tracking data in real-time, analyse and store tracking data forever.....dude, you got all day? The only smartphone in existence would be the iPhone, and they would hold so many patents that nobody but Apple could make smart devices that are usable. With a 100% market monopoly, the vast majority of cellphone owners would have dumb phones because they couldnt afford an iPhone. The iPhone would be one of the most visible separators of the rich vs the poor.

Any person caught without an iPhone would be ostracised and teased as "that person who is so poor they cant even afford an iPhone, what a loser...etc etc".

Innovation would drop to essentially zero in the mobile market, as any attempt at competition vs Apple would result in Apple Legal utterly destroying the offending company.

In all, it would be the equivalent of the Smartphone Apocalypse, a veritable wasteland where only the well-to-do are allowed to enjoy the fruits of mobile technology, and the rest of us shamble along, dejected, left out and downtrodden.

What an awful world that would be.

There are bad students out there, we do not live in a perfect happy smiley little world where every human has limitless potential and can do *anything* if only they tried and had good teachers. That nonsense view comes out of what political correctness has done to modern western society.

There are students who truly are unwilling to learn, dont want to be there, and are only in class because they have to.

There are actually students out there who will never be able to pass certain exams, no matter how good the teachers are and no matter how much they try. Some things are just beyond some people.
