    Why are RH chosing KDE? Because it's a better desktop! Why are RH omogenizing KDE and GNOME? Because they have done the wrong decision adopting GNOME in first palce. KDE is better, so chose a really KDE distibutiong(Suse or Mandrake).

    I have read, but I don't remember where, that Prince fix a target for the number of copies of his next CD, and said that the CD would sell only if the target wold be reached. Think about how mutch dollars do you wont and wait. I think that wold be a good idea to have the html on line and sell the paper, the pdf and ps format.

    I think tom haven't to help intel or amd (remember super bypass) but he have to help us. Every time there is a problem in PC industry/tecnology Tom points out it.

    Are you shure? It seems to me that Solaris has the TCP/IP stack threaded, and that is one of maior advantage for the Sun's OS.

    I think that advantage of the second configuration is that you write the same amount of data on 4HD insted of 2. In my understand of the tecnology the advantage of RAID is that you can read and write from/to the (numer of disk-1) the parity is work that the cpu or controller have to do.
    1. I would like to know if you think thak the IDE RAID isn't an option.

    It's clear to me that the advantage in the second machine is 5 disk configuration not SCSI Bus.
    In my opinion it make sense to have a SCSI machine only if you need more disk that your ide channel(1 disk per channel). Take in mind that a Ide RAID + 18GBx2 disk cost less than one 9 GB SCSI disk, in Italy of course:). Look at promise site for benck(ok it's not the best source;).

    Are yoy sure? Don't forget AMD, they push Intel do a log of thing they don't whant to do.... like bring down IA-64 in the K8 space.

    I think you are wrong. Amazon is a promise. The market feel that it can profit in the near future, but if the Net refuse it, if we don't feel it's a Net creature, the market will not trust on it.
