You can't buy a single song from Bat Out Of Hell? That is asinine. I saw that CD at JB for 7 bucks a few months ago. Obviously premium product they want to keep at a high price. Not!
Yeah, at those prices, the only reason to buy from them is if you cannot find the stuff anywhere else, even secondhand. Particularly older music not released on CD, any chance any of that becomes digital?
The other thing being, if they have an oz store with quite a lot of Australian music, are those songs then available via the US or UK versions (for those people with credit cards from there)?
Buying a CD, LP or tape, going to be cheaper! I have seen some older Australian music for 8-10 bucks a CD in places like Sanity (chain) or the Muses, in just the last few weeks. Buying those digitally would double the price. Nutty.
No magic there for me. Watched an episode and a half, was drawn out and dull I thought, so stopped. Although doing something like this makes me consider giving it another chance.:)
Not that it is either up to date, or iTMS even exists though, here! No iPod, either, come to that!
Haven't seen most of those series (not been on here). HBO would have to pay me to watch Sex In The City though! Haven't seen most of those movies, either, but would happily take True Lies or Taxi over Sex In The City. Which, come to think of it, has been on 2 different free to air channels here. Have seen a little bit of Six Feet Under, would take those two movies there, too
So if they do change our copyright laws to be the same as the USA, should be perfectly ok to Sex In The City however, as it has been sent out to everyone already?
There was actually an article in The Age recently about the fact that the music industry has consolidated a lot. An analyst was saying that the amount of new music they far fewer companies than there were before were putting out was down around 40%.
Perhaps a dirty little fact they never mention? Less companies 'producing' music, so less actual music, less money spent on marketing less music, as these companies try and pay for their takeovers, mergers, and lawyers?

As someone suggested to me, you can get an old m500 on ebay, whichever your local variety is. You can use a 64mb card in that. I now have dozens of books on mine, and the card is only half full. As far as battery life goes, seems very good to me. It is a grayscale screen.
I think I hadn't charged mine in about three weeks until the other day - it appeared to be at about 40% charge.
Pretty much all I use it for though are ebooks and a bit of a todo list.
Yeah, tons of people would be crying here about 1MB downloads! Not! Even at 50K, nothing going to take you a terribly long time (apart from movies, or whole operating systems?)

If not all the music companies can grow a brain here, then a fair chance none of the tv companies will!

Right, so some never heard of station in London will play heaps of Australian, and more particularly, new, Australian bands?
Surrrrrrrrrrrrre...........
or Spooks come to that?
You are? Cool! Hopefully that is a Slashdot story!
I would say that if a show is called 'Supernatural' that is a pretty large clue that it is not SF, right there in the title!
Invasion, Threshold and Surface of course, are a different story.

No, because you'd leave your scummy skin cells, hair, bad breath, fart gases, and other such joys, so it would not be exactly as you left it.

Well, a 1-5 rating like IRate and Indy wouldn't be too complex for most would it?
Yeah, amazing, who would ever have thought of releasing movies at different markets at the same time?
That free 9 minute thing has just about convinced me to go see it, too.

6-12 months, 3 years (Smallville), or never!
Asterix, Obelix, HBO needs to Getafix?
ManDrake the fire breathing dragon, what special powers does Ubuntu have? :)
Or to quote The Blue Oyster Cult: "Oh! No! There goes Tokyo!"
In that case, they should just send letters to the people they don't want to sue? :)

So are lots of people recording from these play whatever you want services, or is it too tricky?
Streaming media? That would do it pretty fast, I would think, if you use that a lot.

Wasting time? It is not like anybody sleeps for 8 hours, and would think of downloading stuff then....
Yeah, for me too, get this mega green box.
In firefox, a large black one flashes for a bit, then goes away, somewhat annoying though!
