is really good (hell the whole series is cool) but i have trouble seeing how they make a movie out of the first book. unless its going to be a special effects fest (i would love to see rama) not much action really happens. im not dissing rama but in the book you read about the experience of the 'explorers' but once you see the imagery on screen then what?
most of the reasons people have said here from the delicate foam damaging the delicate wing to software problems you might as well say aliens did it. too much speculation is unhealthy. im sure nasa will find the (or a) reason depending if it was their fault or not.

of the biggest costs once the car is bought is getting small dings etc repaired. would plastic make repairs like this cheaper and will this new coating be cheaper to paint on when your car door is keyed?
