The people in no way liked us after the US-UK military coup overthrew the parliamentary government and installed the Shah, who ruled with an iron hand until a popular uprising expelled him in 1979.
It would be nice to renounce such stupid behavior, but Obama and McCain openly support continuing our long tradition of terrorism against Latin America.
They both said as much within the last month while speaking in Florida.
Funny how the US didn't boycott Chile under Pinochet
Huh? The US set up Pinochet in his place!
The U.S. committed a coup against Allende, and committed a coup against Hugo Chavez. Much more successful with Allende who killed himself instead of being taken from the palace as opposed to Chavez who left.
Chavez made the correct move as the military was able to save him from the U.S. led dictatorship. Allende wasn't, and the Pinochet reign of torture began with direct U.S. support.
So don't use code snippets without understanding them. Just because you can find fewer doesn't mean perl is bad language to learn first.
I have only learned perl, and am quite content with it as it does the jobs I need it to. I haven't been using it for 5-7 years, but I look back on code from 3 years ago and it's no less secure than anything I write now. I decided to understand any code snippet I used.
I think Perl is a fine first language as long as you start simply, and expand giving yourself time to take in the concepts. Enjoy the exploration.
I can't speak in comparison to any other languages obviously, but it worked for me.
They can point the same way... if.. that's a small sub-sample of even more galaxies that are arranged in a circle, and they are all pointing the same way but that's only because you're looking at a tiny fragment (tiny, I know) of the circle and they all look exactly the same at that small dataset.
Ok.. what the hell does this actually mean so my crazy theories can at least have some basic in logic.
Exactly, you've hit the nail on the head. They consistently side with the American Libertarian point of view regardless of evidence. This bias is clear.
Do us all a favor and choose more than one resource. Penn & Teller ends up being mostly true, but there have been a episodes which I have a direct knowledge in the field where they were completely wrong. To the point where it seemed like they had to be trying to make such large mistakes. Which usually just means bias.
When I was working tech support ages ago, we lost all of the internet connection from Chicago to Indianapolis several times which took some times days to prepare.
It wasn't the most frequent thing in the world, but it happened. We blamed it on gophers.
I think the support is important. I was able to hack together any sort of odd request that the business asked. That was something I couldn't have done with other systems. You got whatever they put in with other ticketing systems. With RT, you ask for something, you get it provided you have some support.
We connected into other systems, had real time displays of information to help them answer questions inside the system. It was very nice until we were bought out, and started using a monolithic system that have absolutely nothing you want.
RT used to be much more difficult to install than it is now. Even then, it wasn't very difficult if you are a Linux Administrator with a knowledge of perl.
Now, it's extraordinarily simple. Initial understanding of some of the rights management will take a little bit of time depending on how complex you want it to be.
It has been a while, I gave up my ipod in March I think. I was too frustrated after trying many programs, and never getting what I want. A simple syncing interface that allows me to move in and out files, podcasts, etc. Pictures, videos (I had a video Ipod)
The converters work fine, I loved that stuff, but I could not get it in any shape to be completely usable. I still suggest it to people, it just wasn't what I wanted. Hopefully it's improved and I'll give it another shot if it has.

An Embargo isn't "socialist". It's a tactic that has no connected ideology.
It can be used for a wide variety of purposes, and in general doesn't fit with socialist ideology, although it could still be a justified tactic.
It's like violence. It's a tactic, justified or unjustified.

On September 11th, 1973.

Off Topic, but..
Bertrand Russell is my favorite writer. Weird to see him quoted here in this context, but quite accurate of a statement in my mind.
Completely opinion based. I think Madden isn't half the game 2k is.
Ok, screw all advertising that isn't a listing of information about the product or services qualities.
Stupid ideas from cosmo vs. pervasive transgenerational indoctrination.
BIG DIFFERENCE.
s/BIG/SAME/
I disagree. Screw all advertising. It's intention is to delude you into purchasing something on issues aside from the products qualities.
Advertising is intended to lie to me. I refuse to spend time listening to known liars.
Is there any chance the House will stop this? Anyone want to march to the Capitol?!
"truly libertarian"
So you mean Libertarian Socialism, or Anarchism. That wouldn't make you necessarily against Hubble Research.
Oh.. You meant Right Wing Statism?
No, just you.
Because they are terrorists. From the article,
"The axis of the CMB alignments has been referred to as the Axis of Evil"

You really feel that strongly that your opinion of life is the best one? That's usually how intolerance happens.
The motivations were clear. We just had other goals. Your evil is a crutch point is completely valid, but your analysis afterward is flawed.

Another vote for Request Tracker, the best ticket tracker I've ever used, deployed, and customized.
