    That'd probably be the way I'd do it, too.

    First of all, I bet they make more money off of liscensing the engine than they do off of 2k4 or whatever, so therefore, it'd be much better for them to keep as much of their game out of the engine as possible.

    Also, scripts are much easier to change, and I bet the time savings of not having to recompile a script compared to compiling a hard-coded event are pretty good, too.

    The form factor is smaller, it weighs less, it's not ugly, it works with ITMS...and other things I probably forgot to mention.

    Because thier batteries last for x hours, and (taking recharges*time on each charge) yours lasts for x +1000000 hours.

    They'll run through $150 (or more) of batteries while you'll pay $50, while maintaining a smaller form factor in yours.

    Ain't Apple great?

    Wait, the one I linked to is a VGA (? I'd call it 'graphical' myself...) remake of the original, text based game...so it's been around even longer.
