No, they caused a *building* boom. Meaning, people are building new houses on property so they can sell for the nice, high prices. Makes perfect sense.
Unfortunately, I imagine that once a news source has posted enough reliable news to be trusted, it is too big to keep hidden simply by using this P2P scheme. At the point it's done enough work to be trusted, and thus make a PGP key useful, it has also probably done enough to be located physically by whatever government is interested and shut down that way. If it were news sensitive enough to warrant that, anyways -- and if it weren't, the elaborate P2P scheme probably wouldn't be necessary.
That is the coolest idea I've heard all day. A waterway would be able to accomodate more people than a sidewalk, because the "lanes" (two and from) could be several layers deep. The filtration system would be horribly expensive, and maybe not even feasible on that scale... But just imagine, on the (waterproof) cellphone, to your boss:
You: Some syncronized swimmers were doing a street performance, so I'm running a little late in the traffic.
Boss: Damn! I need you in a meeting five minutes ago! I'll have someone run your suit down to Airlock B, you can change there.
You: I'd better get an oxygen ratio raise for this...
Mostly in that we don't use 50% of the examples given. Even lowering your head in submission is not used often: it's usually a sign of shame amongst us humans, which is very different. I almost never see someone crouching as body language -- but when I do, it's usually more accurately a sign of aggression or self defense, like with feline predators.
They certainly seem alert enough to be using both eyes!
I think it's really refreshing to see a CEO doing more than spouting positive press for their stock holders. NetFlix isn't scared to say it like it is: "Yeah, we've got this market covered; but competition is heating up, and we need to expand or things could get rocky!" Way to go, NetFlix.
'Course, I'm a big NetFlix fan. Love seeing those red envelopes in the mail.:)
Google finds links, but doesn't do your research for you. Windows Media Player for Mac currently only supports up to WM8 codecs. WM9 is not yet playable on Macs. Microsoft will get around to it eventually, but WM9 codecs have been out for a while.
Actually, I can see an idea like that selling like hotcakes. With some good advertising, you could have a lot of people making amateur, grassroots Truman Show-esque reality TV for anyone on the Net. I can see a few of them taking off in popularity, being adapted for TV, which encourages more people to buy the equipment to make their own...
Stranger things have happened. I still can't see why webcams are popular.
Too much risk of proving the opposite. The open source team would have an internal dispute, and the project would split. The result would be two open source entries: one handles navigation superbly, but is easily trumped by simple obstacles; the other handles obstacles with ease, but simply can't get from point A to point B.
Of course, this is where the joy of open source comes in. Although the public would laugh, maybe DARPA would realize: hey, it's open source -- we can combine the strengths ourself and have one hell of a system!
Yeah, my university has a similar licensing agreement with Microsoft. We get unlimited copies of all Windows versions, all Office versions, and I think a good deal more (haven't needed them, so haven't checked).
Of course, we upgraded to that license because Microsoft threatened to sick the BSA on us if they didn't. We were pissed off at the time, but it's actually been a good deal for us in the long run.
Maybe as an option, but for god's sake don't force the thing. I, and many others, *do* look for the lock and would prefer to not have some image ruining the look of the page.
Well, free from an AT&T Wireless phone... So yeah, I think the hands know what they're doing. :)
Wow, that must be one HELL of a datacenter!

That was a really nice catch. Honestly, give yourself a pat on the back. :)

Hey, good idea. I mean, after all, it works for AOL with Trillian right? Oh, it doesn't? Huh. What was your point?
Not so much of a pain that they didn't do just that! The ISO code for Ukraine is UA, not UK.

You don't have to use Obj-C to use Cocoa. Feel free to use Java and Python, and I think some others I'm forgetting. Python for me, thanks. :)

Interestingly, the old "I didn't bother to read it" argument doesn't work when you sign a paper contract. Has this been tested in digital form?
Eh, my mistake. Looks like my info was just a few months out of date.

I suggest a felt bowler, sir, and perhaps some A1 to help it go down.

Ah yes. I, too, am looking forward to buying an excellent LiteOn drive for half the price. :)
I like to catch them and toss them back. :)
Are you one of those guys who mispronounces faux? Oops, is pointing out phonological mistakes a "fox pass"?

Actually, that's about right. Thanks for covering for me. ;)
Yez, a chimpanzee minky...
(for all you Pink Panther fans)
I still am an IT minkey, and I routinely install O2K without Outlook... And it really isn't there!
