Well, sure. Using anything more than the standard lethal dose to kill some one is gratuitous and downright inefficient! Sounds like that code could have been tested more -- think of the savings in power!
Except that Hobbits have a longer lifespan than we do. Frodo was barely out of his "tweens", which is equivalent to our own "teens". I think he was cast well, and the look was about perfect. If only he could have looked just a little less soulful, maybe, 25% of the time...
I sure do. Some people were upset that PA didn't fight back, or try to keep the comic up. Personally, I think they made the right decision. I'm glad they shrugged it off in favor of cranking out quality art and humor every MWF, as opposed to sinking a bunch of time and energy into a lawsuit.
Hey cool! I hope you Slashdotters realize that you are being graced with some of the quality material the better trolls at K5 put out. Nice to see some good crustacean info here.
It has been! Notice the huge growth of "virtual colocation" services? Those are usually run with BSD jails or UML. They are a middle ground between consumer shared hosting and full-on managed servers.
This technology has already created a successful and useful market. I think we can only expect more.
You're right, I misread that article. The part I was looking at is here:
"Reports say this problem was finally fixed in 3rd generation iPods but if you bought an earlier one then you're out of luck."
However, upon closer inspection this refers to the problem of small gaps in a single file. The problem of gaps between files has not, as far as this website is concerned, been fixed.
Back when I was a young graphic artist, we were using Photoshop -6.0! That was the best one yet. The program has gone downhill since then. For us, of course, it was uphill both ways -- not downhill.
It's one of those horrible cliches the karma-whores overuse. It's like the ubiquitous, unnecessary, and untrue little disclaimers I hate so much: "well, there goes my karma!;)".
Is that really a motto? Well, they don't always come. GameSpy had an interesting article, "The Top Ten Handhelds That Never Made It", which both Sony and Nintendo decision-makers may want to look over.
This sort of thing is a complex balancing act, and I would hate to be the guy making the decisions. Remember the Sega Dreamcast: it was revolutionary and the best system on the market for quite a while, but it still got smashed by the others.
Actually, this "sollution" is so obvious that it is implied the others are using it in addition to their more generous and honorable indemnification offers.
Think about it for a second. If SCO wins, then the companies distributing Linux are legally obligated to change the offending code. Duh.

Or, worse yet, the guy who has the credit card in his wallet goes out and buys something! Oh wait, I guess that was a step too far.

Strong Bad, over at homestarrunner.com, shares your frustration.

I hope I didn't cause any confusion.
Hm, the website you link to says that the 3rd generation iPods (read: iPod mini) have fixed the gap problems.
Sounds like a load of Bull to me.

What's the command in GIMP for changing the pixel aspect ratio? You know, so you can design for mediums in which the pixels aren't square?

You own a computer, right? Just a thought. HDTV can look very nice on a half-decent CRT or LCD.
What? The people in GTA curse at you or dive out of the way if you drive within a few feet of them.
So, you would have tits (Tertiary digITs).
Nope. The "it" in bit comes from "digit". The "b" comes from "binary". However, the "bi" in "binary" really does mean two.
Can they do that?
Uh, I mispelled solution and then put it in quotes. So much for my journalistic integrity. :(

No good. They could agree, and then sabotage the mission. A little revenge for being in prison: $400M spaceship down the tubes.
I loved KotOR as well, but it's ironic that you emphasize "prequel" in your sentence. KotOR would make for an even earlier prequel than Eps 1-3. ;)
Actually, humans are already watercooled! I guess liquid nitrogen would work. Or some good air conditioning. ;p
