Studies shown to be paid attention to by people who want to reinforce their opinions. So this will largely unnoticed by the "think of the children" crowd.
Streaming library does suck, but it isnt like Starz was putting out the latest in greatest. In fact they have not updated in a while.
Out of 1,000 movies, a good 70% of them are old black and whites, or westerns, crap I could care less about. Another 20% is kids movies, and out of the left over 10%, well... I watched all the good ones I wanted to.
But I do watch some of the series they have on there... Firefly (rewatch that alot), Scrubs (rewatch), Star Trek series (Watching Enterprise now), Law&Order CI (watching), etc.
That makes it kinda worth it. They have a few more months before I decide to drop them.
IMO... MS is trying to go back to the separated OSes. One for work, and one for home. Windows 8 looks more geared towards the home consumer, or at least the gadget consumer.
I dont see any business in their right mind purchasing Windows 8 for the workplace.
Only if multiple people have access, or there are user files stored on it would i need anti-virus.
If you are the only one that has access, no user files are stored, and it performs simple tasks... probably not needed.
See, what people who think Anti-virus is important dont seem to understand is that it wont protect against vulnerabilities, nor against 0 day. It is a false sense of security for the senseless. I can run for years without anti-virus and never get a virus. How would I know if I dont have an antivirus, that I dont get viruses? I dunno... how do you know you dont have a virus even with anti-virus?
You see, anti-virus is really the user being smart enough to understand what they are doing, and understand anomalies of the system they are working on.
Well, when you are a kindergarten teacher and you are worried about test scores.... there is something wrong.
My tests consisted of drawing the alphabet (which was above the chalkboard), and sleeping during nap time.
This was a joke people...
Do I need to start adding a sarcasm meter?
We should change it by staying home and not voting!

Oh yeah, news at 11:30
How is that anonymity working out for you?
Thank you for pointing out that I was tired while posting and made a mistake or two.

All of this can be easily thwarted by the following
GPO to lock down browser history options, script to pull browser history from system nightly, browser history viewer.
You see, edge hardware is effective, but browser history will tell all.
Automatic tying shoelaces tied too tight.

What the hell are you talking about?
Someone has never written a term paper :)
Soil may protect them...
But seriously, this is just a "slow news day" post.
Stay classy slashdot.
No... prosecution is the judicial branch. It is separated for a reason.
Some people cant see beyond their nose.
We call them politicians.
Even my local news reported this before ./
And as they stated, the LEDs are bright enough.. WTF we need lasers?

Looks more like DNS poisoning.
I liked the music they put to it, soothing beat with an up tempo flavoring.
3d grayscale, WOO!
Mirror mirror on the wall....
Yeah, it is sad.
But it is a long time from February, and this may be a move by Starz or Netflix for publicity on the issue.
Or, they could land another company like HBO.
You must purchase old or crappy mobos.
Good job on not knowing what you are doing.
In the United States of Corporate America or elsewhere?
Shit, they could have the disclaimer that its terrible in the fucking watermark and still get away with it.
Buyer beware in deed.
No bro... we had open bar christmas parties. In fact every event was open bar. We stocked alcohol at work!
This is true. I worked for a company that did a lot of partying. It was fun times when we went out, a lot of dating, etc.
This wasnt the craziest part, the sexism was prevalent, including pay differences.
So I left.
