    Java has the distinction of adding and removing functions or changing function behavior between patches.
    Clearly since I was marked "troll" there are a lot of Java dweebs out there that didnt get the joke or have never had to administrate an environment with Java in it.

    I do not see an issue here.
    TFA states many exemptions such as currently unlocked phones you can purchase from many places, phones not under contract, second hand phones, etc.
    It isnt that big of a deal, and this isnt "jailbreaking", as some might think.

    Meh, if we are too stupid to fix things, change minds, and train properly, then we are simply a victim of our own ignorance.
    This includes current parents who see nothing wrong with things such as gun proliferation, global warming, and over population.
    Just like the debt, since I was a teenager, people have been saying "You are going to make our kids pay for your mistakes"

    Not really, the basics can be learned through books.
    Like loops, variable types, arrays, etc.
    Computers are just used to compile code so you understand what you are doing, learn mistakes, learn proper methods, and how to debug.

    You might want to take that back there AC...
    Look up deep packet inspection and URL inspection.
    It wont protect against 0-day, but neither does anything else.
    Also, policies are enacted on networks because fuck Facebook, do your job.

    Manning uncovered a lie by the USA Government.
    Lamo uncovered a truth about a fellow soldier.
    Both had just reasoning, but only one is being punished.
    That is the problem here... these events would have never happened had the cover up never been.

    If they do, I will quickly look into Windows 8 for deployment at my job.
    As it stands now, I wouldnt deploy it because it would cause too many headaches for tech support, teaching people how to use the Operating system.

    The problem is clear.
    There are those that "signed" the no new tax vow, which is backed by large money if you break it.
    But if you dont, you get that money.
    Our congress is in its state because people have been openly bought by the system we have.
    It is time to get some laws in there to prevent this shit, or start cleaning house.

    I find it odd that you guys are lashing out at Linus.
    First off this is Linus's project, his name on this project, and a bug that would not look well for his project.
    Secondly the programmer in question screwed up, and instead of admitting it and asking for help, he blames others. (read, programmer has a big ego)
    Linus called him out on it, and the programmer should take it, because the programmer caused the issues.

    In short, this whole thing happened because of the programmer, not Linus.
