    The trouble is that in many cases, your senior programmers and sysadmins and I, don't know how to do what a user is asking, but are better at finding out how (e.g., knowing how to search on-line help or Google).

    How much bloody longer is this asinine OO.org vs. MS Office "debate" going to rage on? Just choose one and use it, 'cause this is getting old. And as for "personable and usable training", I've found it doesn't matter what suite They are using, calling out "James! How do I..." remains the favoured approach in my immediate viscinity.

    I would buy this software if it could filter me from seeing that ever again.

    Or you could train your mind, as I have. My occiputal lobe no longer processes Goatse as it "should", and substitutes a fuzzy blur in its lieu. I literally cannot see it!

    Unfortunately, this is not without side effects. For instance, it's no longer safe for me to drive through tunnels.

    A word to the wise; Stay away from fedora cores. If you must use one, choose one that's been out for a while.

    You sound like a bitter, bitter Slashdotter.

    This "Fedora's a beta testbed for suckers" stuff is utter crap. Fedora is a testbed not for stability, but for cutting edge technologies that may filter down into Enterprise many months later. And from what I hear, FC5 will introduce some exciting new things. The stuff that goes in isn't generally any more unstable or poorly-built that the pristine sources from which it derives, plus you've got the support of the community and the Bugzilla.

    The Fedoras are nice, powerful distributions. Far nicer (and to be honest, I think more polised) than Enterprise. For me, they've got the right balance of modern usability and technical accessibility. Yes, I like cutting edge.

    Plus, given the bottoming out production costs, we can easily produce porn of the same quality as closed source porn.

    So: zlib Licence if you just want it known that "it really is my arse"; GPL for those who want it all kept out in the open; and BSD only if you're into that sort of thing?
