I don't know who you heard say the fourth dimension was time that you are calling a quack but Dr. Michio Kaku (www.mkaku.org) says it in his book Hyperspace and he is pretty well respected in the physics community.

Time is pretty obvious as the fourth dimension when you stop and think about it. If I say that I want to meet at the corner of First Ave. and Main St. on top of the bus stop we have three dimensions. Everyone can grasp that easily. The foruth dimension comes into play when you say we should meet friday at noon. That is why the term Space-time is used.

Pointing out the obvious fact: Pontiac had the name Firebird name first, and they have real legal clout to defend the trademark, but as the industries are different they know not to even bother It isn't that they know not to bother it is because they don't think the bother is worth it. For an example where someone thought the bother was worth it check out http://wwwnissan.com and the story surrounding it.

This is a horrible idea. I use email on a daily basis just to send myself notes. If I think of something at work I need to do at home, or vice versa, I send an email to myself instead of writing it down. Implementing a system which would require me to pay to talk to myself is bad. I already pay for my internet connection to be active telling me I have to pay an additional fee to use it is stupid.

"The reason I heard for this is that a visiter recives no benefit for the tax"

But you do recieve a benifit. That tax pays for the infrastructure that you used while visiting. The roads, the electricity, the water and sewage. It pays for their schools so that there would be educated people to run the businesses that you patronized. If you went to that country then you recieved a benifit since if they were not there in that state of development you probably would not have visited as a tourist.
