Unless, of course, the rumor is true and the XBox2 ships with no hard drive.
What made me decide between a PS2 and the XBox was the hackability of the XBox and the ease with which it could be converted into something of a media center, using the added 120gb drive to store movies, mp3s, etc.

I worked for a few years bartending at a dance club. Once every year or so, the sewers would back up. Primarily behind the bar and in the bathrooms. So on those nights I'd be serving drinks while standing in a lake of excrement. While listening to some godawful song at a very high volume for the 40-bazillionth time. Sounds like something out of Greek mythology, almost.
Made the mistake of putting a disclaimer within less-than/greater-than signs in my comment. In my neighborhood, DSL, which I just switched from, is both slower(384-ish, though sold as 768) and about $10 per month pricier.
No, that's porn.

On the same note, my favorite is:

You've just said "Al Gore" and "rhythm" in the same sentence.
DOES NOT COMPUTE...
Craypaper?
Are we recycling old high-end machines into paper now? If that's the case, will we end up with origami beowulf clusters?
Mmmmm... Dru Berrymore's mouth...
Hell, this makes MAN pages seem like Neal Stephenson wrote them.
That was called Quicksilver, right?
More news at 11, to be followed by:
The sky is blue, an expose.
Water found to be wet.
Footage shows bears really do crap in the woods.
I second this comment.
All I want is a 1GB memory-driven player for $100.
Guess I'll be waiting a while.
Insightful???
Moliere may have written some great plays, but he doesn't have s**t to do with abstract art.
Try Kandinsky or Malevich, or even J.M.W. Turner and the impressionists.
End of art lesson
Vorbis vorbis vorbis!
Nope, it just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Plus, vorbisty just doesn't work.
Ogg, ogg ogg. Ogg oggity ogg ogg!
Now that that's out of the way, let the insightful comments begin.
A memory-based, 1GB music player.
For $100.
Until this comes, I'll stick with my Minidisc, even with its draconian DRM.
Why isn't this product out there yet?
The Ipod's price point is too high, and the memory on memory-based players is far too low.
Haven't seen these up, so:
Husker Du - Zen Arcade
Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
Not that new, but a definite sequence to both.
Funny, I thought he had lowered his cholesterol.
Funny, but I play a lot of N64/NES/SNES games.
As well as Sega, C64, and MAME.
And watch DVDs/Divx/Xvid/Ogg.
And play mp3s.
All from my not-very-high-market-penetration XBox.
And if you'd like proof of that, go here.

I just made that edit for you. Prolly the wiki-people won't let it stay that way for long, though.
So I misread that as "Electronic Buggery in the Senate".

Verisign is considering a name change to 'Skynet'.

Anyone with a nice fast DSL connection ever gotten one of these things?
That's funny. Tell another one.
Obligatory posts saying that "COSD is dying."
I guess we'll be seeing one or more Ted Nugent box sets coming out soon, then.
