The old EQ Skinner Box model strikes again. Every year or so, release an expansion that completely invalids any progress made in the last expansion. Problem is, it works as a money making venture, so other games follow the same suit rather than attempting to create games where content is for fun rather than for grind.
You get all the classes, access to the Factions PvE content, access to all the PvP modes.
You don't get access to a few skills and elite skills. You don't get access to the Chapter 1 PvE content. For a serious PvP player, you really need access to all the skills. For a more casual player, you can have fun with just Chapter 2.
That's the whole philosphy behind Guild Wars. There's a max level no character will ever surpass (even after expansions are released) and there's "perfect" equipment that will never be surpassed. Starting from ground zero you can make a PvP character that's max level with close to perfect equipment.
And you know what? The PvE player hordes complain about the level cap, complain about the max items. They want their characters to continue gaining power into infinity. People seem to *enjoy* mindless monty haul grinding--which is why EQ and WoW are so much more popular than Guild Wars.

Either the phishers already have access to my account information under Amazon (including mailing address and the unique fake name I gave Amazon), or it's actually connected to Amazon's database.
Here's the problem: The game has a subscription fee. If it's just sitting on your hard drive not being played for a week or four, doesn't it feel like a waste of money?
Well said. Small disgression:
Korean teams only feared by those who don't know any better. I honestly believe the top tier American teams are equal to the top tier Korean teams, and that there's more good American teams than good Korean teams. However, for whatever reason, Korean noobs beat American noobs: I suspect because a Korean team's members are all sitting in an internet cafe together with an easy line of communication.
Oddly enough, euro-teams do tend to suck. There are good European players, I find the that the best tend to play along side Americans on American teams.
'Cept you never have to actually buy a superior vigor rune, or any other sort of rune, to compete in PvP. If you are trying to use PvE characters in PvP, you are probably doing something wrong. You can unlock the rune for 2000 faction, that is to say, about and hour's worth of victories in the arena at the current faction reward rate.
The grinding only exists for PvE characters and play....and really, the PvE players would be complaining if there was no pointless goal to grind for.
Nicotine is dangerous to consume over a long period of time, even without the tar and other crap in a smokey treat. Fscks with your heart.
Take too much in a single setting, and you die. It's poison.
But gawd I love it.
