    They've been doing this for years.

    My wife passed away in 2013 from ALS. We were going to "bank" her voice for her eyegaze text-to-speech computer. Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated rapidly, and we were unable to bank her speech before she lost the capability.

    But it's nothing new.

    Similarly, the old SCO Unix (back when SCO was merely stodgy and not evil) had a timing loop in the Adaptec 1540 and 1740 drivers, and would fail on boot on a 486/DX-66 (and probably others, but I'm just going from personal experience)

    The fix was to take the system out of turbo mode, boot from the floppy, patch the driver image; reboot in turbo mode and install. Patch the driver image on the hard drive and relink the kernel; and then reboot in turbo mode.

    The key thing is that the turbo switch was necessary to deal with this shit.

    Same here. My wife wanted a smaller stone, partly because she was a very small woman, and partly because we had a bunch of 1-2 point diamonds from my grandmother's wedding ring that we put onto the ring as well.

    I'm just not sure which is considered the most current, or the pros and cons of the various distros.
    * DD-WRT
    * OpenWRT
    * Lede
    * Tomato (is that even still around)?

    Federal law shouldn't trump the Constitution.

    I'm trying to figure out what part of

    is NOT violated by mandatory arbitration.

    Someone should file a suit and appeal it all the way to SCOTUS.

    Such a law is clearly unconstitutional. See the Seventh Amendment.

    As I recall, SCO did something similar as well (before they turned evil). It was used as evidence in part of the trial.
