    Congrats to everyone who responded to this thread. That whizzing noise you heard was the joke going over your head.

    Parent was a joke based on the fact that the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and the Business Software Alliance (BSA) have the same three-letter abbreviation.

    Parent was referring to the second BSA (the MS mouthpieces).

    Back when they first came out, I considered buying a Prius... not because of the gas (it was about $1.50 at the time), which would not cover the extra cost, but back then , CalTrans was giving out carpool lane stickers to Priuses (not any more :( ).

    At the time, I was commuting between the West Valley and Anaheim twice a week. And the use of a carpool lane would have shaved a large amount of time off my commute.

    Don't dis me for the commute -- My main office was 5 minutes from my home, but they contracted me out to Anaheim.

    To be honest, I was working from memory -- it wasn't a "blatant lie", but an error. I don't like either him or McCain, but I wouldn't deliberately lie to hurt either one. They both do a good enough job damning themselves without it.
