    Win 7 was qualitatively better than XP in every respect and always has been.

    Couple of exceptions:

    1. Tweaking network adapter settings. XP: right click on icon in tray. Win7: dig about four levels deep into Network Settings.

    2. Full Screen Console Mode. Not possible with WDDM.

    That's not how I RTFA'ed. I saw it as

    • * Egypt had (undocumented) knowledge of a few right triangles
    • * Mespotamia had documented knowledge of many right triangles, -- including large ones, which would indicate knowledge of the theorem
    • * India has the first documented statement of the theorem
    • * China has the first documented proof of the theorem

    The one requirement that seemed off to me was "3-6 drive slots".

    In what universe does a laptop need more than 2 drives? (I'm assuming SSD and magnetic for the two drives). The need for optical can be handled by USB if needed.

    I always figured coke-bottle referred to lens thickness.

    Pre-PRK, I had horrible near-sightedness (-7.50 or so), and referred to my glasses as "coke bottle" due to the thickness. As in "as thick as if they were cut from a coke bottle".

    I did that once. One-way, no baggage, because it was cheaper and I had to book *two* return tickets (picking up a daughter from college). The flight out, I got flagged by the TSA, because I hit a profile: Single Male, no baggage, one way trip.

    Couldn't check in online, had to go to the counter, where they tried to mess with my head by asking me to confirm that I was going to airport X when I was flying to airport Y.
