A buddy of mine inherited some code that was written ENTIRELY in #defines. Needless to say, it used a crapload of global variables.
Another one that I inherited was a 5000 line source file... OK maybe that's a minor nuisance... BUT... the guy had written it both left AND right justified. He didn't believe in indenting, and all comments (and every line had one, including of the "add 1 to i" sort) were right justified.
This was on an old Unix System III machine, so I wound up running it through csplit(1) to break it into about 10 source files, and then ran them through cb(1) to format them. It would have taken far, far, far, too long to organize the source by files, unfortunately. Thank the FSM for ctags and cscope.
First Lavabit.
Then Groklaw.
Now CryptoSeal.
Who's next?
The FTC recommends annualcreditreport.com
I've *NEVER* had to enter a credit card to get my free credit report. Where the hell are you going to get it?
Don't they know that Open Source is Inferior?
Dude, think DMCA on steroids.
It won't crash&burn, because they'll go crying to Congress... ZOMG!!! PIRATES!!!! OUR PROFIT$$$ and CAMPAIGN $$$$ ARE DISAPPEARING!!!!
At least she was aware that it wasn't as easy as it looked... you were ahead of the game.

True. The Canadians are too polite to have armed spaceships.

If you smoke after sex, you're doing it wrong.... or at least with insufficient lubrication.
Can we have Congress telecommute, and then cut off their internet?
I don't know if Trader Joe's is national (I know that they're in both CA and AZ), but they don't do that shit either.
For a while, I shopped at Albertsons, specifically because they *DIDN'T* have a "loyalty card". Of course, that went away quickly.
I don't believe it's a coincidence that the response to 9/11 -- the Department of Homeland Security -- had essentially the same name as the KGB.
Let's take something useful, and let the parasites make money off of our work...
Just like the stock market.
Oh come on. Anyone who's watched Dragnet knows that "The City" is Los Angeles.

Are you saying that the Spanish Inquisition is hiding in the Atacama?
I suppose one could always write a Serious Screenplay about it, though....
They should stop experiment on cockroaches, and start experimenting on lower life forms instead....
Members of Congress come to mind as a possibility...
these are basically unkillable cockroaches
Aren't all cockroaches that way?
We found out here
Interestingly, the IRS is shut down as well.
