Mandrake hasn't been Rad Hat with KDE for a long time. There is nothing KDE centric in Mandrake with the exeption that KDE is the default desktop if installed.
I did not say that GTK equaled Gnome, their tools are quite desktop neutral. They are also under the GPL, so no legal reason not to use Qt.
